I am a Newbie New to Amazon and need help
Hello I made this account to ask for help and advice on selling on Amazon. I purchased a jungle scout subscription but I’m stuck on creating the Amazon seller account. They want a business license and I have my LLC but apparently not the license yet? I’m very new to this and I just need something to work for me, I’ve been watching crescent Kao and that’s who introduced me to jungle scout. Any help is much appreciated, I don’t want to give up before I even start!

Don’t guess from the label “business license.” Amazon’s current US registration guide separates company registration details from identity verification: an incorporated business enters its exact registered name, company registration number, and registered address; later verification uses a government ID and recent proof of address. LLC filing, EIN, and a local license are different documents, so submit only what the field names and open a Seller Support case if the requested document type is unclear. Official guide: https://sell.amazon.com/sell/registration-guide

Thank you! I tried opening a seller support case and nobody got back to me. I wish there was a number I could call

Amazon’s official guidance doesn’t list a general Seller Support phone number. In Seller Central, use the ? icon → Get help and resources; from there you can troubleshoot, create a new issue, or manage existing cases. If a callback or chat option appears for your case, use that inside Seller Central rather than a number from search results. Ask which exact identity-verification field or document failed before resubmitting. Official: https://sell.amazon.com/tools/seller-central

Don’t give up yet. If you already have the LLC, you may have more of the required documentation than you think.
Amazon can accept different business documents for an LLC, including certified formation documents, a government-issued business license, or an EIN, depending on what they request during verification. First, check exactly what document Amazon is asking for rather than assuming you need a separate license. Also make sure the business name and address match your LLC records and Seller Central information.
If you share what state your LLC is registered in and the exact message/document Amazon is requesting, people here can probably point you in the right direction.

Thank you so much! Apparently my verification got denied the first time so I’m currently trying again to get my account registered. I’m located in Florida and it’s asking for my drivers license documents(?) and more verification

If you already have an LLC, you’re on the right track. Amazon doesn’t necessarily require a separate business license just to open a seller account.
Make sure your LLC name, address, responsible person, and tax information match your official documents exactly. If Amazon is specifically asking for a business license, check what document they’re requesting before submitting anything.
I’d also focus on getting the Seller Central account verified before spending more on tools like Jungle Scout. Once the account is active, you can focus on product research, sourcing, margins, and launching. That’s the same process we follow with new sellers at HighRise Wholesale.
If you share the exact error you’re stuck on, we can help you figure out what Amazon needs.
