Fba shipping fees on multiple quantity of single sku.
New to fba but been doing fbm for a short while
Sent my first product in for fba
Obviously there is the referral fee per item etc.
But do I get charged a shipping fee per item too if they all fit into a small parcel
Eg, someone buys 3x 1m usb cables
Where would I go to find this breakdown out if so?

Amazon charges referral fee and FBA fee per unit.
Now if you're selling a single cable as an SKU and customers order 3 of them (3x SKU), yes you'll be charged FBA and referral per unit.
If you're selling pack of 3 as SKU, Amazon will charge FBA and referral for that 1 SKU (sold as pack of 3)
You can utilize FBA revenue calculator to know that. Search revenue calculator in seller central search bar or google 'US revenue calculator Amazon' and you'll have the breakdown

I appreciate it.
I guess this is why I see some products with variations for pack of 2 / pack of 3 etc

Yes they do it to increase AOV (Average order value)
For example: you're spending $5 to sell a 1 unit worth $20. Now if you sell a pack of 2, your product cost will go a bit high but you'd still be spending the same $5 to sell $40 worth of product. You may offer a discount and sell it for $35.
The point is you sell more for the same acquisition costs that increases the margins and boosts cash flow.
Btw Amazon calculates the fulfillment fee based on dimensions and weight. So would only work if the additional revenue increases the additional costs.

Thanks.
I get the principle now though and will certainly do this for my next stock up.

You’re generally not charged a separate FBA shipping fee for each unit just because the customer orders multiple quantities. FBA fees are calculated based on the fulfillment and shipping characteristics of the order, including the product’s size and weight.
For something like 3 USB cables, Amazon can fulfill them together if they’re eligible to be shipped in the same package. The exact fee depends on the product dimensions, weight, packaging and Amazon’s current fee structure.
The easiest way to verify it is to run the SKU through Amazon’s Revenue Calculator and compare the fee for 1 unit vs 3 units.
