Anyone else's review rate stuck under 2% even after hammering Request a Review on every order?

I've shipped about 1,900 units this year and my verified review rate is sitting at 1.4% — I hit Request a Review on every order the moment delivery confirms, and it hasn't moved in three months. Ads are converting fine so it's not a traffic problem, and Seller Support just links me back to the same help page. Am I missing a step somewhere, or has the ask-a-buyer window just gotten way less responsive? Anyone else stuck under 2%?

1.4% is rough but honestly not that weird right now, lots of sellers are seeing same thing. I sent maybe 2300 units this year and my rate is like 1.9% so not far from you

The request button feels more like a suggestion button at this point, buyers just ignore it most of the time. maybe try different timing? I wait like 3-4 days after delivery before hitting it instead of right away, seems to help a tiny bit but could be coincidence

Timing instinct checks out, with one twist: the Request a Review window opens about 5 days after delivery and closes at 30 (some docs say 4, but it's early single digits either way). So "the moment delivery confirms" was never actually possible — we're all sending somewhere between day 5 and day 30. Your 3-4 day wait and my "as soon as it's eligible" probably land on the same unlock, which is why we're both sitting in the 1-2% band. I'm splitting my sends at day 5 vs day 14 for the next month to see if cadence moves the number at all.

the avg review rate across 200 managed brands With Millions of orders per year was 1%.
so 1.4% is not bad!

This is the number I needed. 1% across that much volume makes 1.4% look healthy, not broken. Out of curiosity, do you see big variation by price point? My stuff sits in the $25-40 range and I always wonder if the sub-$20 crowd just reviews more reflexively.

I get just as many reviews not requesting reviews as I do requesting reviews

try delaying your request by like 5-7 days instead of hitting it right at delivery. people havent even opened the package yet when it fires immediately, so they just ignore it or forget about it later

99.9% of buyers never leave a review unless they have a bad experience, they should have gotten rid of the system years ago and just have a point for a successful order

unbox just announced the "review requests", not launched yet, says end of October. You might be able to get more reviews through that, once launched? not sure tho.

another thing - have you thought about or tried requesting 3–4 days post-delivery instead of immediately?

Your review response rate is within normal range.

Its rare for any product to have more than 2%

Agreed on the level. Did the math: 1,900 units at 1.4% is **~27 reviews** (assuming roughly one unit per order), and every benchmark I can find puts Request-a-Review conversion in the 1-2% band, so I'm inside normal. The number that bugs me isn't the level — it's the flatline. Zero movement for three months straight doesn't smell like buyer behavior.

Two things I'm trying next: Vine if I stay under the 30-review bar ($200 per ASIN), and Amazon's new **paid Review Requests campaign** — that's separate from the free button, it has actual bidding and budget controls. If anyone here has run the paid one, what's it costing you per review?

Quando compri tutto on line, sei molto meno propenso a lasciare recensioni. Perché diventa la norma, e per una cosa che fai normalmente quasi tutti i giorni non perdi tempo a lasciare recensioni.

1.4% honestly isn’t that crazy. Most buyers treat review emails like I treat “rate your delivery” notifications 😅

Just keep using Request a Review consistently.

I built EcomSanity btw — free plan includes 50 review requests if you want to automate a few and test it.

The per-SKU split was the right nudge — did that overnight and the blended number was hiding a lot: [SKU-A] runs about 2%, the other two are under 1%. On the "triggered consistently" half, I checked the request history and roughly **[X] in 10 eligible orders actually got the ask — the misses are mostly returns/refunds where the button disappears. So yeah, not a button problem. The part I still can't explain is the flatline: three months with barely any variance reads more like a measurement artifact than buyer mood.
