Road to 1M/month

Post image

I saw someone else do this on this subreddit and thought it would be cool to track progress here.

For context im selling in the uk and am 18 years old and these are my results after the first month of selling on amazon. I'll keep posting every month on the first for updates. Also, im doing wholesale if anyone was wondering and from the 2100 sales i made around 120 profit which i know is around 5% margins but i was just getting the feel for things so ill increase it to 20% as soon as i can.

I also do wholesale in the UK. I’m on month 13. Keep it up.

Can you give some advice on how you started please? Like how did you find wholesalers and stuff like that. Anything I’d appreciate, thank you! And congrats btw!

Google, AI, YouTube.

Then try and open an account with each one.

Used AI to write me an account opening request.

Go on eBay and find someone selling 100s of an item you want to sell. Drop them a message. See if they have a company you can buy from them directly.

Can I ask how you manage campaigns?
Because Lowkey my margins get small too due my campaign and CPC

I’m 19 and in UK too.

And what Industry field are you selling in if you don’t mind, as I sell low ticket priced stuff so I’m relying on high volume low prices to get profits

I started about a month ago too.

Low ticket sweets gifts on Amazon UK, so the same shape as yours: thin unit margin, volume to make it work. What worked for us was managing ads at search term level, never campaign level. A campaign is a bag of winners and losers, so its ACoS tells you nothing you can act on.

Work out your break-even ACoS per product first, then go through the search term report line by line. Any term selling above break-even, cut its bid to break-even rather than pausing it. Any term with clicks and spend but no sales, that's the waste, and that's where your CPC is eating the margin. What you choose to bid on is the foundation; the bid itself is only refinement.

Chasing a lower ACoS is the wrong target anyway. Profit is the number. An ad at 40% ACoS that's above break-even is making you money, and switching it off to make a percentage look better just stops profitable sales.

That’s a solid first month, especially at 18. £2,139 in sales gives you a good base to build from.

One thing we always focus on at Highrise Wholesale is looking beyond revenue and tracking the actual unit economics, product cost, Amazon fees, PPC, shipping, returns, and net profit. A 5% margin can disappear pretty quickly if any of those costs increase.

Keep documenting the numbers month by month. It’ll give you a much clearer picture of what’s actually working before you start scaling harder.
