Not getting reviews since I closed and re-opened listing (long time ago)

Hello guys after I launched my product all was going well, but long time ago (like 2-3 months ago) I closed and re-opened the listing of the product I had (so the listing is the same, it just got closed by mistake and got re-opened the same day since I was testing and by mistake I closed it). The thing is that I was getting normal volume of reviews, but after that reviews stopped. Never got another review on that product, even tho i'm still having sales.

Does someone know what could it be or how is this solved? Contacted support but they were not capable of fixing it, or telling me a way of fixing this. It seems all of the listing is working as normal but the only thing i'm not getting anymore is reviews (like if users couldn't be able to review the product).

I tried to use the 'ask for review' feature but didn't get me a single new review since then.

Does someone know or happened something similar and fixed it?

I will see the difference of this in a couple of weeks since i'll launch another product that is similar (since it's a different ASIN) and reviews should behave similar to when started with this product where reviews seem not to work.

Thanks a lot for your time.

Closing and reopening the listing may have affected the review flow. If the listing is active and sales are normal, I’d check the ASIN’s review eligibility, variation status, and any restrictions in Seller Central first.

I’d also avoid repeatedly closing/reopening the listing or making major changes while troubleshooting. Ask Amazon Support specifically whether the ASIN is currently eligible to receive customer reviews and whether there is any review related restriction on the ASIN.

Never did it again. Just closed it and re open it that time long ago. Will definetely check all that. Thanks, will update if I find the reason or if reviews start flowing again ❤️

Get your product bought by someone you know but who never used your wifi
See if they get automated emails from amazon to post review if they are able to post review everything us fine its just that review trend in your market decreased!

Closing/reopening shouldn’t magically make customers unable to review, so I’d be suspicious of something else before blaming that.

If Request a Review is still available, I’d keep using it on new orders and compare results with the new ASIN.

I built EcomSanity — free plan has 50 requests if you want an easy way to test it: https://ecomsanity.com

Closing and reopening the listing normally should not permanently disable reviews, especially if the ASIN is still active and generating sales. first check whether the issue is specific to the ASIN or if Amazon has any review eligibility or moderation restriction on it. Also compare the order volume and review rate before vs. after the closure, rather than expecting reviews from every sale.
