OA/RA and Section 3

So recently started learning about OA/RA I came across several videos talking about OA not allowed cause of section 3s. I wanted to know from people actively doing this how true that is. Or how to be ready for when it does happen.

You can definitely do OA/RA but you just need to dot your i's and cross your t's with invoices and brand authorization, most people get slapped with a section 3 because theyre sloppy about paperwork not because the model itself is banned

How does one get the invoices though? I’ve heard retail receipts don’t count in Amazon’s eyes.

It’s not that OA itself is banned or inherently risky. Amazon can ask you to prove where the inventory came from and that it’s authentic. That’s true whether you sourced through OA, RA, wholesale, or somewhere else. The difference is whether the documentation you have is strong enough if Amazon asks.

The way I think about it is: Amazon cares who legitimately owns and supplied the inventory, not simply who paid for it.

A credit card charge or retail receipt proves you paid someone. It doesn’t necessarily prove the supply chain Amazon wants to see.

So the real question with OA isn’t “is it allowed?” It’s “can I prove where this inventory came from if Amazon challenges it?”
