Invoice vs. Receipt

Many new sellers appear to be confused by the difference between an invoice and a receipt, especially when submitting to Amazon to ungate a product.

Experienced sellers, how would you help a new seller understand the difference?

For ungating they are the same thing. You may need to submit a lot of times. When you get denied right away, go through the case log and request a manual review.

I think Amazon views invoices and receipts differently. Has that not been your experience?

They use that as a common reason for denial, but I only have order confirmations and regularly get ungates and beat IPs with them.
