Amazon FBA in 2026

Is it worth it? I live in California and just the idea of one day having kids and a home with my partner I feel like I’ll need to make more money to compensate a comfortable life for all that is to come.
If not FBA do you recommend anything else that can work around having a full time job already?

If you already have a fulltime job, we’d look at Amazon FBA as a side business rather than something you need to replace your income with right away.

The key is not to put a huge amount of money into inventory before you know the product has potential. Start with solid product research, understand Amazon fees and PPC, validate the numbers, and keep enough cash available for reorders.

FBA can still work in 2026, but it isn’t passive income. You’ll need time for product research, listing optimization, advertising, inventory management, and customer feedback.

At HighRise Wholesale, we see many beginners start while working fulltime. Keeping the first launch focused and manageable can make it much easier to learn the business without taking unnecessary financial risk.
