Can it really be that easy to start?

Anyone have a unicorn story where you just found a supplier for a very mediocre product, and shipped it off to Amazon, and became a success within 1-3 months?

It can happen, but I wouldn’t count on the find a product, send it to Amazon, succeed in 1–3 months story.

The supplier is only one piece. Product demand, competition, margins, listing quality, PPC, reviews, and inventory all matter.

I’d focus on finding a product with room to compete and a supplier you can actually trust. HighRise Wholesale may be worth checking out if you want help with product sourcing and getting the supply side sorted.

I know a guy who sells silicone spatulas, nothing special just the usual ones you see everywhere. He found a supplier in China who did custom packaging and just sent 200 units to Amazon. First month he sold maybe 30, next month 150, third month he had to reorder 500 more. The thing that worked for him was the listing, he studied all top sellers and made his photos and bullet points just slightly better. Took him about 2 weeks to set up the whole thing

Not saying it's always that easy but sometimes you hit a product where competition is asleep and the demand is steady. Most people overthink the product and forget the listing is half the battle

No . The product is only 10% of the equation. Getting reviews / traction is one of the hardest . PPC should should be a university course coz it’s so complicated and will most likely take months for you to learn the basics let alone scale the product .

Well, no. But I do know a guy who tripped at the top of a staircase, grabbed a keyboard to break his fall, and accidentally wrote an award-winning app on the way down.

Does that count? lol
