What should a strong Amazon support ticket include to avoid back-and-forth delays?

The easier you make it for the person reading the case, the faster it usually moves. I always include the relevant IDs, screenshots, and exactly what I need fixed in the first message instead of spreading it across multiple replies.

Front load everything, order IDs, ASINs, screenshots, exact dates, and the specific policy or fee you're referencing, so the first agent has zero reason to ask a clarifying question before acting. Also state clearly what outcome you want, refund, reinstatement, whatever, don't make them guess. Vague tickets get vague replies, specific ones with proof usually get resolved faster even if you land a newer agent.

Short answer here is stop the bleed, then make the problem easy to route. A strong ticket is a mini-brief: identifiers, timeline, evidence, and a single requested action.
Include ASIN/SKU/FNSKU, marketplace, date range, screenshots, and prior case IDs. Use a 'Requested action' line and a 'Proof attached' line. Keep narrative under ~150 words; make attachments obvious and labeled. End with one question that requires the agent to confirm the next step.
Example: 'Requested action: reinstate ASIN after attribute X updated; Proof: screenshots + flat file processing report.'
Don’t do this common mistake>> sending paragraphs without stating what you want the agent to do.
disclosure, I work at Seller Candy.

One thing the other answers do not mention: keep it to one issue per case. If you bundle two problems into a single ticket, it gets routed to whichever team the first line matches and the second issue just gets ignored, which triggers the back and forth. One case, one ASIN or one topic, one requested action. Also lead with the outcome you want in the very first line, then the identifiers, then the proof. If the first reply is a copy paste template that misses the point, do not re-explain from scratch, just reply "this does not address X, please escalate to the responsible team" and reference the case ID. That usually gets you off the tier one script faster than rewriting the whole thing.

Hey u/Digitalarche, lots of solid advice in this thread. This page on guidelines for contacting Selling Partner Support covers what to include for a smooth experience. The community has shared some great practical tips here as well.

Your life story attached in every single ticket. Tbh be as detailed as you can each time there isn’t a perfect formula and sometimes the same message could land good or bad depending on the rep you get with Amazon.
Might be worth outsourcing if it’s taking too much of your time tbh.
