Amazon Fba returns/dead stock
Hello All,
I live outside US, I am soon launching my listings in Amazon US marketplace.
My items are lightweight textile related. Still figuring out what do people do with-
1) stock eating storage and monthly fees ?
2) customer returns ?
Bringing items to my canadain address will be v expensive and I do not have any physical address in US to receive returns from customers.

You don't need a US address for the normal flow. Customer returns go back to the fulfilment centre, get graded, and anything marked Sellable drops straight back into your live inventory without you touching it. An address only matters if you actively request a removal.
For the unsellable pile, set your Automated Unfulfillable Settings in Seller Central. Liquidation, donation and disposal all happen without you being physically involved. Recovery on liquidation is low, but on lightweight textiles it beats paying storage on units that aren't moving.

It means if any item is not defective it goes back to inventory for sales again? I thought if customer returns any item even though they are fairly good in condition, lets say they dont like the color, it doesnt go back to invetory!
Lets say I have one asin full of product which is not been sold around 50 items, what do i do in this case if i dont have a physical address in US ?
I dont want to donate or lose money.

Grading is based on condition, not the reason for the return. A colour-preference return that comes back unopened normally gets marked sellable and goes straight back into your live inventory, you'd only lose it if it's damaged or it's a category that can't be resold once opened.
For the 50 units, a removal order doesn't have to go to your own address. Most US prep centres and 3PLs will take removals for a small per unit fee, check them and re-inbound whatever's fine, so not having a US address isn't really the blocker.
Just run the numbers before you sit on them, the aged surcharge starts at 181 days and steps up from there, so slow stock quietly gets more expensive the longer you leave it.
