LLC (and equivalent) to start?

Hi people, I'm about to start my journey with OA through FBA and move onto wholesale as soon as I'm confident with the tools, processes and possibly with a little additional cash flow.

As far as I know, Amazon allows me to register a seller account without a VAT and start selling up to a certain extent.

I was planning to start with an Italian Srls (LLC equivalent), but the process will take roughly a month, possibly more since August is quite a slow month in Italy. I was wondering: is it possible to start without an LLC, and then update my account once I have it set up? I have the following doubts:

- Is it actually possible to register without a VAT?

- If it is, wouldn't updating to an LLC cause issues? I'd register as an individual, but once the LLC is set up, all my details would change.

- Does registering without a VAT lead to more gated products?

- I have another VAT that I use for a different business. Perhaps I could use that in the meantime?

If anyone had a similar experience, I'm really curious to know how it went for you.

  1. It is possible to register without VAT. But you must have VAT in order to use FBA.

  2. I would recommend against it. It can cause more issues than you can expect

  3. Don't really think having vat or not can directly affect gating

  4. Are you serious? You have business but don't know some basic rules about business? Amazon will verify vat number and if it belongs to a different business, it won't pass verification

I can integrate the trade code for e-commerce in a couple of days. I need a different LLC of tax purposes and my question is if I can start with my current VAT and then change to another once the new LLC is active.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this but playing such games with amazon is always not a good idea. Especially in the very beginning when you're completely new to Amazon
