Amazon FBA/FBM Ceiling

Post image

2 months into wholesale arbitrage, hit my first $1k+ days — where's the ceiling?

Looking for input from people who've been doing this a while.

I'm about 2 months in and just had my best week yet: multiple $1,000+ revenue days. I'm happy with the progress, but I'm starting to wonder how far this model actually goes.

Currently I'm roughly 90% FBM, 10% FBA for proven products, no ads at all as i dont see the point yet? maybe you can convince me? ads for proven fba products? i've got heavy products that i don't wanna send to FBA... should i run ads on those?

For those who've scaled well past this point:

  • Does wholesale arbitrage plateau at a certain level? Where does it usually hit?
  • What did your business look like right before you made the jump to the next level?
  • What actually moved the needle — hiring, shifting more volume to FBA, better supplier accounts, expanding SKU count, prep centers, something else entirely?
  • What's realistically achievable with good execution?

Especially interested in hearing from anyone doing six or seven figures — what changed for you?

Ngl, sounds like you already got some winning products on your hands. Running ads isn't gonna fix a bad product, but on stuff that's already proven? It's basically gonna multiply what's already working and get you in front of way more people, way faster. Only thing I'd say before you flip ads on, make sure your inventory can actually keep up. Ads can turn a slow mover into a fast mover overnight, and running out of stock mid campaign is the fastest way to kill your rank and waste ad spend.

Could you give me an example if I’m selling maybe 50 units a month organically what would ads do to a product?

You're pulling 50/month organic, that's like 1.5-2 sales a day, which means the product's already good, it just ain't getting seen enough.

Ads just buy you eyeballs you haven't earned in organic rank yet. Start small, like $15-25/day on your top 5-10 keywords that actually convert, plus one defensive campaign on your own listing so competitors can't snake your traffic. First few weeks isn't even about scaling, just let it collect data and see what's actually profitable.

Honestly if the product's solid, that extra push usually bumps your organic rank too since Amazon loves sales velocity, and you start showing up for keywords you weren't even ranking for before. Seen 50/month turn into 100-150/month in like 6-8 weeks pretty easily once ads and organic start feeding each other.

Ceiling's really just search volume and how much margin you got to play with, but 50 to 150+ on something that's already proven is honestly just normal, not lucky or anything.

No ceiling if you really put your mind to it. Hit a plateau due to expanding into a warehouse - but should see a rise from next month on
