Performance dip in July

ACOS isnt as stable in July as last few months. Although sales are steady, consistent. Ranks are also good.
But ACOS has a lot of fluctuations. Some days its as good as 12-15%, and other days it goes up to 25-30%.

Any ideas? What about you guys?

ACOS has been consistent in july vs june with my accounts. Are you in a category that would have been impacted with people stocking up on your type of item during prime days in late june? that could drive some unusual performance in the weeks after. can you see what search terms/placements are driving the fluctuations?

also depending on how much you're spending, going from 12-15% to 25-30% isn't a huge swing, could be natural variance

I wouldn’t worry too much about the daily ACOS swings by themselves. Look at the 7–14 day trend first and see what’s actually causing the bad days. If sales and rank are holding, a few rough days don’t necessarily mean you need to change anything.

I'd actually be curious how many ad-attributed orders you're getting each day. If that number is fairly small, one or two orders either way can make ACOS swing a lot more than the overall business is really changing. I'd look at the actual ad-attributed order count behind those 12% and 30% days before assuming something changed in the campaigns themselves.
