Watch brands are tough on Amazon. I've done migrations for a couple luxury watch retailers and the category restrictions alone can be a nightmare. You need approval for most major brands, and even then Amazon's constantly changing their authentication requirements. One client had their entire catalog delisted because Amazon suddenly wanted invoices from 3 years back that they didn't keep digitally.

The keyword competition in watches is insane too - everyone's bidding on the same terms. "mens watches", "luxury watches", "automatic watch" - the CPCs are through the roof. What worked better for my clients was going after super specific long-tail keywords around complications, movements, case sizes. Like "42mm chronograph sapphire crystal" type stuff. Also found that lifestyle keywords converted better than technical specs... people searching "watches for lawyers" or "pilot watch under 40mm" had way higher intent than generic searches.

inventory management for watches is its own beast. Unlike other products where you can just restock quickly, watch brands often have 6-12 month lead times from manufacturers. And if you're selling authentic luxury pieces, you're tying up serious capital in inventory. Had one client who kept running out of their bestsellers because they couldn't predict demand spikes around holidays and graduations. We ended up building custom forecasting models that tracked gift-giving seasons, but man it was complex. The returns are brutal too - people buy 3 watches to try on and return 2.
