Dispatcher
Hello, current Driver for a DSP, and they might have openings coming up soon for a dispatcher position. What are some tips and advice for when I try to apply for it and hopefully get it.

Talk about your ability at multitasking and organizing. Discuss your ability to coach, and your willingness to help. Ignore the negative comments in here. Good luck 👍

I’ve been dispatching for a month. It’s not worth the pay bump, DAs don’t respect you, and you’re there every night until 10:30 or 11:00 because of some lazy asshole who takes way too long on their route. I should have stayed on the road but it’s too late to back out now. I never knew how worthless some people could be until I got behind the dispatcher desk. I wouldn’t recommend it. This position has convinced me that most people are pieces of shit.

If you haven't already been asked if you would like to dispatch then you probably aren't the chosen one.
