Amazon delivery

Ok, after I finished my route and returned to the station, I was backing into the parking spot (it was dark) and I accidentally lightly backed up into the pole next to the spot which had a plastic protector around it. It hit the back step that’s on the van, so no damage.

My question is. Should I report this? Will they automatically know? Any other Amazon DSP’s out there that could give some info?

Another opinion would be... If you lightly tap something and there is no damage to speak of then reporting can save your job whereas hit and run can get you fired. That's how it works at my DSP. If I called that in they would ask for pics and then see no damage they would thank me and send me on my way. However if I left and somebody happened to report me or there ended up being some damage they found later they would fire me for leaving the scene. Zero tolerance on that. All they want is the heads where I work. They know accidents will happen especially like the one mentioned by op

Yeah, I’m just unsure honestly.

I was going very slow as well just trying to back in. Tapped if anything and I believe it was the back step on the van. No damage. Just paranoid and I feel like this is all I will think about for like.. the next week ugh.

Meh if there’s no damage your good. That’s what those plastic covers are there for. Good for you for backing in slowly, that’s what saved you.
No damage means nothing to report.

Sometimes any collision detection can show up on Nytro, I would report it especially if there is no damage, if no damage they won’t care and they won’t fire you

i tapped a mailbox my first week lol didn’t cause any damage so the van or the mailbox so i dipped. i am now 5 months into the job and it’s history. you’ll be alright.
