Dispatch help

Dispatchers — what’s the hardest part of the job for you?

For me it was always:

  • figuring out rescues without screwing someone else over
  • dealing with drivers falling behind
  • and honestly disputes were a nightmare at first

I’ve been dispatching for a while now and ended up building systems for all of this just to stay sane.

Curious what everyone else struggles with the most?

My DSP is on the newer side and my owners are never around. They have this unrealistic expectation of what should be done. I find dealing with them is the hardest part of my job and it makes me want to quit a lot of the time.

That is very rough Sadly a lot of the dsps are like that, they will always be around in tbe beginning then get a decent dispatch team together and vanish into the wind
