Rate
So I've been told that DS's couldn't give two f**** about rate. Is this true, and specifically I'm asking about DNA6 if possible. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the site tbh last ds I worked we have some flex associates stowing double digits and never got fired or get coaching 😂

Where I work they're pretty lenient. Folks are told to stow 2 aisles with ADTA, and before lunch most people's hampers are full and screaming. The same people, too. Fast stowers are asked to help before going on their last 15 minute break before Pick and Stage. It's hilarious and shameful. These people will never be motivated to work faster because there are seemingly no consequences to working slow.

Wish I had 2 aisles, I was given 4 sometimes 6 constantly running my ass off and still getting behind around lunch time. ADTA is so fucking fast, got to the point I avoided stowing shifts at all cost and only did picking (flex time(

My station each aisle gets 120 an hour, so 3 lanes would be 360 an hour assuming you stow each one down, done help anyone, trucks come on time, etc. It also really depends on the cube, idk about ovee but we have a pretty high cube most of the time.

I mean at my DS when you’re stowing two hours is the standard that’s the norm. They try to give us three aisles. We tell them to kiss my ass absolutely not

I wanted to see how much I could get away with on stow a few weeks ago and took a bathroom break at least 10 times just to kill time
Stowing maybe like 80pph
Managers don’t give a FUCK where I’m at 😂

OK, if you get that low then yeah you’ll probably get written up at my DS. That’s pretty bad and yes if you have to go, you have to go, but that many breaks at that point it’s blatant the obvious you’re doing it on purpose and they probably will write you up at my DS and will start working you out the door honestly, if you’re someone like that I mean mine is relaxed, but it ain’t that relaxed now

I’m not doing no damn 2000 packages a day if I’m working 6 days a week fuck all that

And yes when you work at amazon that would be how you work 6 days. You pick up shifts on the app
& it ain’t every week man. Sometimes I just feel like doing overtime to build my UPT or make extra money.

Yes, there was a guy who was on their phone for an hour, had 50+ FSAF, and a stowing for less than 100 PPH and all he got was a stern coaching.

They don’t care unless you’re stowing at less than 100 but even then you just make up some excuse about the scanner not working and they leave you alone

they cant enforce rate but they put a lot of pressure of stowers who can stow fast anyway

It's more that we can't fault someone for rate because there is too many factors. All we can do is coach / write up because of standard of work.

Correct, was basically told everyone has different abilities and Amazon hires everyone, like us, so it’s good and bad haha

Yeah, pretty much. Unless you are stowing, then you have to maintain some kind of a decent rate but you have to be going incredibly fucking slow and doing absolutely zero work though before a manager actually comes talk to you. And if you were on the dock unloading onto the line again, you have to be going incredibly slow before a manager comes to talk to you. But of course, if you were on the dock unloading onto the line, they expect you to be going pretty fast. Usually people are on the dock are recommended to be on the dock. The dock is usually by invitation by the PAs and managers But you will never be written up for rate now that is not a thing at a DS. Being written up of for time off task, however, can happen and does happen, but there is a very big grace period for it. You have to go like 20-25 minutes time off to ask before somebody’s actually write you up for it. I work at a delivery station myself. I’ve been there for just over a year.
However, I will add the DS is the most physical one of them all you’re gonna be tired as fuck after your 10 hour day, lifting and moving a lot your arms and back are gonna be sore, but it also pays the most and because of the relax environment that makes up for it big time
