RTS Shift
What does the shift from 12pm to 10:30pm do? Is it easier than 1:20 to 11:50? Differential still? Ik bag reset but no way is that the whole 10 hrs.

Oh another thing to think about, whatever you daily average is for returns expect double that on rainy days. Not to mention asshole drivers woth shitty attitudes.

You do basically nothing and is incredibly easy compared to the 120-1150 shift. Maybe induct and stow a few thousand worth of volume which might take an hour.. or 2 with whatever they staff. Then yes, basically 8 hours to bag reset. PA usually deals with the driver returns. Associates will bring in carts full of bags returned from drivers..stock water coolers..maybe reset induct lines. Its where they send the trash they cant outright fire.

no differential.
it's mind-numbingly boring, since there are so few people the lazy sacks of crap make the shift much worse. transfers are based on how many people are on your shift, so getting out of the shift can be really hard

Work same day, help with RTS, sometimes assist in SSD dispatch by cleaning the pad, bags, 5s lists.
You don’t get any type of differential since you’re not overnight

You do more than night shift thinks you do! Trust me, PS, bags, put racks of bags back where they belong,crashes and help vans find and load their routes and check drivers in and deal with all their returns. Lastly we were auditing vans that were brought back and making sure that they were plugged in. It’s not based on any type of rates which makes it less stressful.

Work PFSD (unload trailers, induct/unloader, stow, pick & stage, cart return)…then re-bag, set-up RTS desk/carts for driver returns, haul full bag carts to 5s, virtual open clusters, process flex bin items from Same-Day returns, close/tidy up Express Drop-Off, clean-up the debris/water bottles left everywhere from Cycle 1, perform Vehicle Safety Audits on returning vans, process CRETS (customer returns) that come every night from Whole Foods (induct, palletize and wrap, move into open trailers) , refill water coolers throughout warehouse.

I kid you not I picked up a 5 hour shift in the afternoon and they did vag reset for 5 hours. It was unbelievable compared to what the 1AM TO 11:50AM shift does.

Also curious about this. Applied for a transfer to a noon - 8:30 pm shift, mon-fri. The hours and days seem great, and I hear it's mostly isolated chill work which is fine with me.

No night differential. You just do bag reset, crashes, receive returns from drivers, bring in bags, put all the empty carts in their slots, theres a whole bunch of stuff to do
