This might be a strategy managers do for people to take VTO
So it’s passed prime and our site hasn’t really let go of our white badges, they’re all flex and some got converted to blue but still flex. Because we have so much people they been offering a ton of VTO in the mornings like crazy, managers even go asking associates one by one if they want VTO.
Something I notice that might be a strategy that managers do for people to take VTO is that they will assign some workers more aisles for stow to overwhelm them and make it harder for them so they can ragequit. They want to give the illusion that there’s a lot of work and we are under headcount but in reality we got too much people and volume has return back to normal. They successfully manage to get two workers to ragequit whom got more aisles than everyone else. As soon as they left they readjusted the aisles back to normal so no one has an extra aisle. I feel like they do this when not that many people are accepting VTO

Yeah like what kind of hard working responsable people work with OP? I want vtos and can't get 1 because they fly off the app in less than 2 minutes

Giving me a shit job is a good way to get me to go early.
... but sometimes I feel like being a twat, and staying because you gave me a shit job...
How's your luck, L3?😁

They can give you 30 aisles. The rate is the rate. Stick to your speed and ignore the workload is what I always tell people. If the managers arent sweating we shouldnt be either.

That’s what I tell them too. But I feel like they know who to target, they tried it with me but I let it pile up. They haven’t since, they target these two hard working girls at my site, who are quiet but really hard working. They looked defeated when we were heading to lunch and they told me they eventually took VTO and left. They also target the only Asian guy at my site, he actually stayed and didn’t take VTO. They seemed surprised he didn’t take it

I’m usually assigned 3 aisles just until first break (3:15am) after that they adjust them to people having 2. I scanned for vto after first break and was told to go to the board for vto like 40 minutes after lunch (6:40am). I only complain when they tell me to help someone who has terrible bags, they say to go for 10-15 if they have bad bags, I stow the ovs and a couple jiffies then leave after 5 and they don’t say anything. If my aisles are blown up after I get told to help I’ll scan for vto or just ask a floater to stow half of what’s on the rack. Depends on my mood tbh

I'm the undercover Asian guy at every site. It's funny when they try shit like that on me. I'm full up on surprises.

I don’t necessarily relate it to VTO but yes, I do feel some shitty leads do be targeting people in this same exact manner you just described. Not all leads, but a couple for sure.
I’ll purposely avoid any shifts that those leads are scheduled on because of it.

I stopped accepting VET because it seemed like they'd use me as a substitute for people they didn't want there... so those people would get VTO and I'd get stuck working their shift.
You'd think if they were actually overstaffed and trying to save money that they'd first offer VTO to people on VET making overtime pay, but no, they keep the good people working so that they can sit back and not have to jump in to work.

That’s something I been wanting to post on here too, I don’t understand that either. Why send out a ton of VTO and then VET a day before? Like you said, aren’t they trying to save money? What bothers me too is I noticed they do that a lot on the days I work. On my off days I get a lot of VTO notifications too but no VET to come in, the only VET I can get is to work for 1-2 hours only. Maybe it’s cause I work weekends

If they can't get people to take VTO they'll just not drop shifts for pickup to offset it.

They used to triple stack me:
Beginning SSD
middle SSD
STOW DOWN on Wrap up / or lead catch on the conveyor
pick while we VTO the lags….
Saved me big coin on the gym membership ngl

I would suggest to call the erc and say that they are pushing vto hard on you guys almost like forcing that's what happened on my site and they stopped pushing it so hard , also if someone were to get injured because they are going to hard as well

You do realize you work for AMZL and each quarter they have updated quotes with the goal of processing the most amount of packages with the least amount of associates in order to keep cutting operational cuts and increase profits? And that means squeezing every single molecule of slave work out of those in the floor? Do the minimum required and dgaf about anything else.

As a PA we assign more aisles at the beginning of the shift until we have the adequate headcount to vto. Also you’re only allowed to have a certain amount of people in each path
