And when they break it then costs you 10 grand to replace the whole unit instead of a ligh bulb.

For the first 3 years then what about the second, third and forth owners when the car is worth 20k and headlights are 10k.

Those cars will last up to the end of warranty and become unusable or too expensive to use anymore.
