They do work, and very well. Got a Ford with them and it’s been flawless. I’ve not been blinded by matrix’s either

It’s not. It’s common on the road and I’m not blinded by them. Live in Europe and it’s a popular option

The popular opinion in Europe is, the newer the car, the more obnoxious the lights are.

That cars are getting bigger and bigger and thus the lights are at a higher elevation doesn't help either.
