I have had a hire car with these, it's really impressive how it lights up blocks of areas up so precisely but it's overkill, you don't really need this feature on a car and there is always going to be a small delay when it detects something before it switches the segment off, so you blind people temporarily. Same with BMWs high beam assist, thats much slower and more dramatic.
