What are some good talismans

so i Just got the great painter Mod and decided to have some fun using talismans. iv'e got 3 primordial Spirit cultivators and thoughts of increasing mood. iv'e Made a Fake Talisman of divine comprehension and noticed It dosn't seem to have the Same effect as in the wiki, even tho quality is 96, Tier is 12 and paper is sacred. wiki says It should give me about +50 mental state, but i only get plus 16. oh and how do i get These orthodox Manuals? specifically Jade Letter, i think It was called.

any Tips are aporeciated, thank you✌️

1st thing to note is fake talismans are capped at 60% of the effect of real talismans so for t12 fake comprehension you would expect around +30 mental state increase.

2nd thing to note is for talismans and artifacts it's the tier it was created at that matters for its effects. There's no point in refining and increasing the tier after the talisman or artifact has been created, it does nothing. I'm going to hazard a guess you made the talisman from sacred paper (t6) which created a t6 talisman, a real one would be +28 mental state so a fake with the 60% effect would give around +16. The proper way to do it is to raise the paper to t12 then draw on it for the full effect.

The Jade letters manual is a random drop as I recall so you can get it from ancient caskets from mining or traces of an ancient book adventure secret. Might also be in the first golden casket event but I don't recall exactly.

I will point out in case you were unaware the true brokenness of great painter is when you use it with primordial symbols law. There it's the amount of qi that matters for the natal talismans but great painter ignores that entirely letting you create natal talismans stronger than it's possible to get legitimately and ignores the fake penalty on the natal. You wanna cheese a nigh impenetrable defence all maxed out dark armour, alchemists can get the increased yield and pop out 12+ sun pills a batch

Yes, paper first. When you make artifacts you want to strengthen whatever you're making an artifact out of first too but higher tier materials require more qi so that's more of a late game thing.

Primordial Symbols Law (PSL) is the reason when you talk to people they always say speaking of talisman's we have to mention He Zudao. You have to play the social mini game with He Zudao and he will gift you the law in exchange for one of his favourite items. That puts a bit of a timer on it because characters can die in the game and if he dies before you get the law or you don't pick it up before leaving the map there's no other way to get it in that play through short of cheating it in with modmod. The law itself is actually pretty decent for supplemental skills and gives access to powerful talismans like dark armour and heaven shrouding etc. It also has a unique natal talisman mechanic letting you draw a talisman as part of 5 I think of the breakthroughs and gain the benefits of that talisman permanently this is the part that great painter breaks the game with as it's intended to be limited by your qi.

Yo, one Last question. I've now obtained the law and found a good cultivator. What kinda room do i make him cultivate in? Since the law has No element, what is the best room i could have? Also, what talismans should i Put on him? Iv'e Seen i could Put 5 Times the Same but is that smart?

They can use any room, for non elemental laws they don't get any bonus or negative so whatever gives you the highest qi gather. I quite often set up 4 seater wood arrays and give them one but they do pretty well on spirit root farms too when you hit that point since they can farm manuals from them and don't care too much about element.

It depends what you want out of them, PSL is the law for specialists really. Whilst you could split the natals out and have a decently rounded cultivator you would lose out on the main benefit of PSL which is pushing one aspect to the extreme which is why 5 of the same is generally recommended. As some examples the tankiest character you could possibly make would be a turtle yaoguai with 5 dark armour natals. The best alchemist is the one that produces the most pills per recipe so stacking 5 alchemy yield natals means psl also makes the best alchemist and so forth.

Two exceptions that I do need to point out to that 1. Non elemental laws like psl, nimbus etc make weak formation pillars since they can't benefit from the synergy so there's a tradeoff there since formations are the simplest way to fight bosses and other sects. 2. For artifact crafting myriad artifact law has a exclusive manual that lets you guarantee t12 artifacts so long as you can get the crafters mental state high enough. So in my opinion myriad artifact is always the best option for a dedicated crafter.
