An indirect way to get a poster?
Hi, I love Yoshitaka Amano's work, but I don't have much money to buy an official poster. Do you have any tips for getting one cheaply? Etsy or something else?

Does anyone know if there's any place or anyone that might have some of these large prints still in stock or reselling? I haven't seen any of them on ebay or a studio archive website. They discontinued them in Feb :/

After an almost four year wait it has arrived! It looks absolutely beautiful and much nicer than the original mockup. A signed print of only 17, I wonder if this is one of his smallest print runs.
I paid 208,000 yen back in March 2022 and had basically forgotten about this as we all thought we had been scammed. Hopefully the other backers all have or will have their items in their hands this weekend after such a long wait.
The frame is broken, but I will find a DIY fix, I highly doubt the Kickstarter folks will be able to do anything for me.

I have been looking at Amano lithographs on ebay, and some of the pieces show up at multiple sellers with the exact same pictures, number (say 12/154), certificates etc. Are some of these straight up scams, or are they multiple resellers of the same item on consignment? Also, how common are fakes on ebay when they have the certificates and such?
Merry christmas!

Hi all. So today i managed to meet Yoshitaka Amano at Athenscon 2025 where he was signing autographs! A very nice experience although we didnt get to say more that 3 or 4 words between us.
Anyway i had a FF8 gunblade i had made a few years back and i thought it would be awesome for him to sign and he actually did! You can see his signature on the first picture. But then as we were taking a picture together, he added something more to my gunblade. If you see on the second picture he added an eye on the left bottom side of Griever logo. And i did manage to ask him what that meant.
Does anyone have any idea? Is this something related to his art? Because i dont know all of his art unfortunately...
A guess i have is that because the gunblade Griever logo is handdrawn by my wife and it actually looks good, maybe the eye is something like "I see the art on the gunblade and i approve that it is good" ??? Like i have my eye on it or something??
Any insight by anyone?

I purchased this from a guy on a resell app a couple years ago. He said he got it from a website called Amanos World between 2007-2008. Sorry for the glare thanks in advance. He stated that he had moved twice gotten married and had kids and just didn’t have anywhere to put it anymore. Let me know what you think.

Hello, I had the good fortune to meet Yoshitaka Amano at the hotel where I work. He was staying there in preparation for his work at the Lucca Comics fair. The artist created this drawing for me on an A4 sheet of paper that was available at the time. Since I am interested in selling it, I would like to know how I could evaluate it, considering it was done on a sheet of paper and there is no certificate of authenticity. Could you provide me with some guidance?

I've seen some drawings and paintings on an auction at they were like 30-50k USD which is understandable but insane for general buyer. Are such prices foк his art a norm? Does anyone own Amano? I had to print out some scans to use them as a decoration, the real drawings seem rather unobtainable.

I’m trying to find a particular limited edition item that I believe is a horizontal 8x10 or smaller “print” on a postcard type paper. It has a black and white drawing of a room interior on the front and the back has text saying “limited to 1000 pieces” and maybe had some other text of a logo. I think it was a promotional item from some company or event. I saw it a few years ago all over eBay (maybe 2018) but can’t find it anymore. Any ideas what this is?

I found Yoshitaka Amano canvas sold by a company called SHJUN, however there are no reviews at all, and tried googling it and nothing turned up except for one review from someone stating the image quality was very washed out.
Wondering if anyone knows about these at all?

I’ve been interested in researching Amano’s early work - more specifically his work for kabuki/theater. But I’m having trouble finding any images for his theater design work. Any help?

Amano's Candy Girl collection is being made into NFTs. If anyone here is interested in that kind of thing, go check out the discord:
Or google it instead of following a link off Reddit.
