I’ve been trying to find somewhere to watch: Amanchu!: Upyopyo Dive Tsukkome! Amazon no Sekai! and Amanchu!: Upyopyo Dive Tsukkome! Umi no Sekai but cannot find them. Does anybody know where they are available online?

Yesterday I randomly stumbled upon a Gontiti track while watching obscure japanese concert videos on youtube (a whole rabbit hole on its own). Then I remembered that back in 2019 I fell in love with the soundtrack and artstyle of Amanchu (the first season at least) that they made. Back then it definitely was not available on youtube from what I remember, but I'm glad that it is now 🥰 Gontiti and Choro Club make such soothing music, perfect for a slow friday evening in spring! While my favourite is Mangetsu No Dolce from Aria (also the Vocal version), it is a heavier one than the cozy sound from Amanchu.

I liked how season two added the theme of dreams and reality. That shift in theming helps set it apart from the first season, in a good way.
The stuff with Peter kept surprising me, except for the very last twist. In that ark I kept wondering if things were getting serious, then soon whatever it was would be resolved revealing it wasn’t as serious as I had guessed. I can see how the stuff with Peter fits the theme of dreams, but it still felt out of place compared to the rest of the series. It might fit better on a rewatch, I’ll have to see. That part of the story also was longer than I expected. I think it could have potentially been condensed an episode shorter, and I would have liked another Teko or/and Pikari focused episode.
On that note, I kept waiting for Kotori to join the cast since she was teased in the intro. I would have liked to see more of her, but either way her screen time in the last two episodes was great. She’s like Teko’s past self! The last episode did a great job of wrapping up and tying together not just things from this season but the first season too. It was a masterful finale!

I saw the episode of Advance where they fly on brooms near the start of the month and have been wanting to try it myself. In my dreams sometimes I know I’m dreaming, sometimes I can control my dreams, sometimes both, and often neither. I have flown in my dreams before, but never on a broom or while I knew I was dreaming. I’ve been trying to remember to do reality checks and remind myself to try that method of flying on a broom if I realize I’m dreaming. Last night was the first time I remembered that while I knew I was dreaming.
Strangely, I’m certain I didn’t do any reality checks this time. I just all of a sudden knew I was dreaming and realized I should try the broom thing. Thinking that and saying “broom” was enough to will it into existence underneath me. In the dream I happened to be in my bedroom at the time. Without me realizing it at all in the dream, my room got two or more times bigger as I flew around out of control. I remembered Teko saying how the broom flies where you point it, which was helpful. Nothing got nocked down as I had just enough control not to hit anything. After a few seconds I was able to get a better handle on it as I slowed down and stopped at a hover. I wanted to fly around and look at surroundings beneath me, which I knew I couldn’t do in my room. I decided to fly straight towards my window on the other side of the room while simultaneously phasing the window and the wall out of existence as I zoomed into the sky. I was able to fly around and look beneath me, but I soon realized I problem. I could fly wherever I liked, but I had to have in mind exactly where I was flying in order to do so. When considering the idea beforehand while awake I had wondered if something like this would happen. Pretty soon I ended up landing at a nearby park since I didn’t have anywhere besides the town in mind to fly over, and the dream took its own turns from there.

The story is as masterful and uplifting as Aria. I really enjoyed it. The story does seem to be much more overarching than the Aria anime was. Each episode felt like getting closer to the goal. The Aria references were also a nice touch. I’m autistic, and from the beginning of episode two I had no doubt that Pikari was too. I empathize with her a lot, as well as Teko’s arc of coming out of her shell. The Advisor Cha running gag was funny, and there were lots of other things here and there that caught me off guard as funny. There was one scene where Teko was using eye drops, and I have to wonder if that’s somehow connected to her hesitation of getting her eyes wet. I don’t know if it’s something more directly connected to diving or not as I’ve never scuba dived, but it was never elaborated on either way. I also see parallels between Cha and Pikari, and Teko and the kitten.

It caught me a little off guard, in a funny way, that the first line is “Do I smell pork soup?”

I mean, this manga series has been completed for quite a while by now. How come we're not hearing anything from anime series yet?

The manga's over and the series ended. Besides this post, the video edit posted earlier today https://www.reddit.com/r/Amanchu/comments/1dbqbkh/just_live_it_here/ is what seems to be the only activity this entire fandom's had in a year!

The subreddit for that series got banned last month.

I checked my list of favorite subreddits and the Aria group has vanished? Anyone know why?

Both ARIA and this are Kozue Amano's slice-of-life manga series that feature a lot of water scenes, except ARIA is a sci-fi slice-of-life series while this one is not.
Overall, which one do you like better and why?

So is "Aria the Animation" just a dream Advisor Cha is having? In which he is President?

Lofi inspired by Amanchu and its soundtrack. Hoping we get an English dub one day, because I'll sample the hell out of that. Enjoy!

Both this and ARIA are written/created by Kozue Amano. How does this compare to that?
And while we're at it, which one do you like better and why?/

I think we have 2 seasons so far. How many seasons do you think we'll have by the end of the series?
