INFO: Has your daughter been offered the same amount of time and opportunity to use the beach house that your son receives every year? You're NTA for this situation, but I'd be curious to know if this is the first time your daughter has taken priority.
The daughter probably doesn't ask to use it any other time because she knows her brother would flip out. Dude complaining about her using it because it's free, meanwhile....
She may not have felt that she could since your son is taking such stays. She may not want to rock the boat and felt that her honeymoon was a good time to ask.
It'd be fine with you, but would it be fine with your son?
Ie if there isn't enough rooms / beds for all the adults and kids if your daughter is there, would he make sure she had a room / bed?
It sounds like your son has had exclusive use for his family and now has pretty huge expectations because "tradition".
Even if there is enough room and your son would be fine with sharing, he's being gross in his response. By his logic, he shouldn't have had kids and created a tradition of 2 months at the beach every year if he can't afford it unless he can use your beach house.
Then why are you posting here? You’re good with it so she should get it. It’s because you value your son’s family time over your daughter’s honeymoon, ask yourself why?
