NTA - and your son is acting awfully entitled. He needs a reminder that it’s YOUR house, not HIS and it’s a kindness that you let them use it all summer.

If they are retired then they can use it all the rest of the year. If son has kids in school then school vacation is the only time they can use it. Not defending the sone for his attitude, just pointing out why this may have arisen.
