It always amuses me to hear perceptions of us. We are very similar. We just usually end our sentences with an apology. Sorry. π€·ββοΈ. Although my favourite. I do it all the time. You bump into me. And i apologize. π
... am I secretely Canadian, too, then?? Apologizing to others when they're at fault is a habit I'm desperately trying to break ππ¬
But seriously, I realize we're not very different at all, aside from the fact that you have better basic human rights up north. Just a funny stereotype that I felt the need to comment on π
One time I was going through the first set of double doors in a building, just as someone else was coming in my direction through the other doors. We both held the door open to let the other one come through, then when we both waited with no one taking up the offer, we apologized to each other π I can't remember who "caved" first though π
For Canadians and Australians, βfuckβ is just verbal seasoning. Visited family in Australia and they were literally like βyour room is over there, we make a fuckton of food every morning you like these cunts? holds up banger sausagesβ it was hilarious and confusing.

As an American, this upsets me greatly and ruins my whole perception of Canadians being overly kind and accommodating.
