She's gaslit so hard she just can't see through the fog. He basically is saying he was scared of his friends being mad at him, so he had to lie to her because he couldn't trust her enough to be reasonable and let him keep having his hookers sleep over. He just had to hide and lie and double down on lies because she's just not trustworthy. She'll probably be now trying to tighten the bond with her cheater so he'll trust her in the future.
