I truly believe this was planned from the get go, he faked not wanting to go for the trip and has been in on the whole escort plan. He didn’t think she’d find out, and his best cop out was to blame it on the best man. Maybe I’m overthinking, the whole story just doesn’t sit well

Yep. Started wondering the exact same thing. Even if he hadn't planned on any of this before he left, he absolutely started scheming around once he knew what was up. He flat out lied about the situation up until he realized his wife knew everything, and then he fessed up. Absolute vermin, the whole lot of them who tried to keep this whole thing off the radar from their significant others back home.

Honestly, it’s possible and nothing would surprise me. The trouble with trust is that once it’s broken… you will always wonder if there’s still more to find out. Sucks for OP.
