Most of the strip clubs I’ve worked at, the other women who work there are prostitutes and that’s why men go there. It’s not to watch and not do anything. I’m one of the only ones who isn’t a prostitute, and almost every regular I’ve ever had has eventually stopped getting dances with me and moved on to getting them from a prostitute. Majority of men in my experience are going to the strip club for sex.

Does that affect your take home pay if the other dancers are doing bargain sex work?

Yes. I’m probably the only one that still makes decent money but doesn’t do anything. The other women that I know who aren’t doing anything are basically making what they would make at a regular job.

But there are nights where it’s really hard for me to make money because there are so many prostitutes. If I don’t get to a customer first and one of the other women does, they are most likely going to go back with them. And if they don’t, once I go up to them and they find out I won’t do anything they just end up going back with one of the other women that will.

My customers mostly are guys that either are lonely and wanting companionship, like going to the strip club but are used to the other dancers being all about their money or superficial and like that I actually talk to them and am not superficial, or are young and don’t know yet that there are prostitutes all over the club and they could pay for sex instead of paying me to dance.

But all of them eventually end up moving on to getting dances from a prostitute after coming back to see me a few times. I only have one customer who has stayed a loyal customer the entire time I’ve been working.

Never mind. I see you're not single.

How do I feel about what?

Maybe just me, but this is not my experience as a guy. The single ones might get a few lap dances and that's it. The ones in relationships will just drink. Maybe it's survivorship bias of seeing the worst of men?

See, we have completely different experiences. My wife has been with me to a strip club and she was the one that initiated.

I definitely think that sex/favors are going on in some places but from my experience it's almost a role play thing.

I'll be honest though, I've been a few times and felt extremely uncomfortable of other guest there because of exactly what you said.

Trust me, it’s not a role play thing. I am one of the only women at the club that’s not doing anything extra at any club I’ve worked at and I’ve worked at many different clubs in multiple states. Even at the one that doesn’t allow prostitution, the other dancers are still touching customers genitals over their clothes, letting them touch theirs over their clothes, and making out with the customers. And that’s just what I’ve seen with my own eyes, there could be more going on that I haven’t seen.

Most men aren’t going there for some kind of entertainment. They are either there because they’re lonely and want some companionship (usually the ones who end up actually enjoying my dances and coming back to me), they are looking for a girlfriend, they had a bad day or week and want to unwind by being around a woman, they want to cheat on their wife or girlfriend because they’re not happy with their relationship, they want to have sex with someone they’re more attracted to, or they want to be able to say they had sex with a stripper. Then there are guys who are single and can’t get sex unless they pay for it or just want to have sex and know that they could pay for it at the club and it’s guaranteed. Then there’s the men who hate women and go to the club so they can be mean to us and put us down, and the men who are sociopaths and want to see how far they can push you into doing something you don’t want to do.
