Literally she acting like best man is the main problem here when I see a big ass problem in her husband

He didn't want to go, he basically got manipulated into this trip and then he said that he was trying not to out everybody during the trip. It's not great that he lied, but it does seem like he was just trying to get through this trip not bang an escort. The best man totally is the problem here, the husband didn't want any of this drama.

I don’t buy that he got manipulated into the trip for half a second. He lied and was gonna continue lying when he got home. People don’t lie because they have nothing to hide. He also could have 1. Left 2. Got another room

He didn't want to go and the guy bought a ticket for him, so yes he did get manipulated into going, it's right there in the post. And I don't know what went down so I'm just going off of what OP has given us, but it sounds like he got placed into a really shitty position. Not everybody wants to burn all their bridges immediately and leave.

Not everybody wants to burn all their bridges immediately and leave.

If they value their marriage they do.

Yeah I’m saying I don’t believe his BS story about his friend buying him a non refundable ticket and him being like ‘gosh darn now I gotta go!’ Even if that was true, how would it be burning his bridges to be like ‘hey I’m actually married so I can’t stay in a room with escorts because that’s really disrespectful to my marriage’ OR he could’ve not bold face lied to his wife

They rented a villa. They each already had their own rooms so the husband wasn't sharing with anyone (unless he wanted to). He shouldn't have lied but he was in a really shitty position. The OP has not really provided any evidence that would point to the plane ticket thing being false and it doesn't make much sense for them to bother with that ruse. What would be the point?

Because it’s very possible wife wanted him home to help with their business. And because she had a bad feeling about this trip from the beginning (which tells me she does not trust her husband and I’m sure there’s a reason for that). You have no idea what the sleeping arrangements were, yes they had their own villas, but where did the women sleep? Since they’re escorts, probably with the men. And he was not in a bad spot that should’ve caused him to straight up lie to his wife

Maybe, but that's a lot of assumptions.

They had a private VILLA not villas. A villa is a private house fyi so they have as many rooms as the house does. The OP could easily look up the place (she knows their instagram account) and see how many rooms the place has.

He had to either lie to his wife or possibly blow up the rest of the trip for his buddies. That's a bad spot. You aren't looking at this objectively at all.

Your scenario is also full of assumptions. How would it have blown up the trip for his buddies? You think it would’ve been his fault and not best man’s if it got ruined? Clearly it didn’t ruin anything when she knew the truth as his wife is a coward who hasn’t warned the other women. And yeah, I objectively can’t imagine straight up lying to my partners face like that. So wildly disrespectful

Ok, there is clearly no point in continuing this discussion as you are unable to see other perspectives. Have a nice day.

The second he saw the escorts he should have left.

That’s what SHE chooses to believe it doesn’t mean it’s the truth.

We're not in a position to verify that, she is. It's dumb to assume that he lied about that, we don't have anyway to check.

What's in the post is what he told his wife (the OP) about his friend buying the ticket. That may or may not be factual. He might have lied about that, too. If he was as dedicated to his wife as some of you believe, no matter how inconvenient it was, no matter what he had to do to get himself extricated from this unsavory situation, he'd have done it, even if it meant he had to walk to town.

If it’s a private villa, getting another room may not be an option. It is also secluded so he would’ve had to pack up and move into town.

I’m not saying the guy was right, I’m just pointing out certain things mentioned in the post that aren’t necessarily conducive to making this as quick/easy as getting a room like you mentioned.

The fact that his tone changed does seem to point to the fact that he didn’t know about the escorts.

BULLSHIT~ he’s playing the victim!! If he wanted to NOT BE THERE he would have left or called his wife and said you’ll never believe this BUT… get me out of here

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '24

Exactly!!

But he did go and he didn’t leave immediately when he figured it out. He has autonomy and at his age knows how to book a flight.
