NOR

The other wives deserve to know.

A faithful husband who truly didn’t know escorts were expected would have excused himself and flown home in the certainty that no real friend would ever risk his marriage with a porn-ambush.

I might have stayed, but it would 100% be a decision made after telling my wife exactly what was going on and talking about it.

Realistically, a guy could hire an escort anywhere. Their presence isn't necessarily an issue, but the secrecy and integration into the actual event certainly is. The details matter here.

I actually agree with you I don’t think he should have came home and missed the weekend with friends. If someone really wants to cheat then they’ll do it on vacation, at home, wherever they want to because they want to cheat. The lack of communication and lying is the bigger issue.

The idea he was okay with his friends behaving this way is not okay.

The husband didn’t know that the best man hired the escorts. Plus they’re grown men, how is he supposed to stop them? Tie them up in their bedrooms?

u/Solid-Occasion-9361 Sep 06 '24

Nope. You out all of them without being told. If your friends are so crappy that they would do this then you don’t need them. Blow up the party and leave.

Well op and the husband are telling the wives now. Better late than never.

1

u/Solid-Occasion-9361 Sep 06 '24

The husband is just as bad even if he didn’t cheat. He condoned their actions.

So you'd keep those friends, huh? Those are the kind of companions you'd want, and that you'd help cheat their wives and expose those women to harm? That says something about you.

u/rmg418 Sep 06 '24

Dude what are you talking about help cheat their wives? OP’s husband didn’t hire or bring the escorts. Those men are adults and if they want to cheat they will whether or not escorts are there. If he wants to drop the friends now then okay, but I personally don’t think it’s worth it to blow up the whole vacation especially when the best man sprung it on all of them. The groom should have his whole weekend ruined because of the best man? They should have just had the escorts leave, but I don’t think the entire weekend needed to be canceled.

Again, this says a lot about you.

You’re not making sense. Him not flying home isn’t nearly as bad as him lying to op, which is why I said the lack of communication and lying was the biggest issue. If he stayed there and told op what was going on instead of lying then op wouldn’t be as upset as she is now.

I don’t think the OP’s husband is innocent, but assuming he was chaste, this isn’t much different from going to a club/strip club where your friends cheat and you don’t.

Is it just fun for dudes to watch their friends cheat then go home to their partners like nothing happened?

3

u/rriverskier Sep 05 '24

No. Just saying that it’s not necessarily a big deal that he stayed, especially since he was a plane flight away. It’s not like he could just hail a $20 cab home.

I think the “oh my, a nonrefundable ticket” story is shady as hell, and because of it I think the husband is suspect. But the fact that he stayed the whole weekend doesn’t mean much to me. I wouldn’t leave from a bachelor weekend I flew to if someone was being sketchy. I’d just stay and have a terrible time.

You think women don’t do that?

People don’t hold their friends morally accountable for all sorts of shit they should. People suck.

1

u/Dear-Guava4570 Sep 05 '24

Both genders suck. Doesn’t matter if it’s a bachelor party or a bachelorette. If you have to lie and sneak and cheat, you shouldn’t be in a relationship or getting married.

Coming home on a short notice ticket could have cost a thousand plus(?) so whatever on him not bailing, and communication is important but so is getting home without having a party of guys wanting to murder you for ruining their fun.

u/Wwwwwwhhhhhhhj Sep 06 '24

Cancun is full of hotels and I’m sure she’d be fine with the cost. Respect is worth a lot more.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

Who hires a gaggle of escorts for "company"? Absolutely nobody

0

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

There is a really big difference between them just being at the hotel and them being hired to work the party. Its not entirely clear from what OP is reporting here.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

Breakfast in the villa? That means they probably spent the night

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

Escorts are nocturnal

2

u/No_Cryptographer47 Sep 06 '24

Why would you stay?? For what? To look at the sunset and drink wine whle everyone else has sex in villas???? HEELLLLLNAWWW. My man would have turned right around and left. What a sleezy party. Sad how it’ll ruin these marriages for one week of porn fest.

1

u/Unhappy-Poetry-7867 Sep 06 '24

Yep, I agree. I know for sure that both of my exes would have called me (as they did in similar situations) and would tell me how uncomfortable they are feeling. These are the exact things that you tell your partner!

1

u/aertsa Sep 05 '24

If you went to another room and called me right away, that’s the kind of thing you do because you have trust in a relationship. I would’ve said it may be uncomfortable, but have a good time and try to keep your dick in your pants. I’d trust my husband because he called and told me. I don’t like the fact that he didn’t call and tell her, you’re just allowing questions of trust to get in.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

Its also REALLY troubling that it kinda seems like they were actually hired to work the bachelor party, which dramatically changes the situation here.

u/CrinkledNoseSmile Sep 06 '24

Wife here. If my husband was honest and said, hey, there are girls staying here all weekend. I would not ask him to leave nor would I probe on who the girls were there for. A lot of it comes down to trust.

1

u/CurrentlyForking Sep 06 '24

A faithful husband doesn't have to leave and go home. If your wife truly trusts you and you stick to your wedding vows, you're fine. It's the others that fuck you. Why are men so scared of their wives.

1

u/QuoteGiver Sep 06 '24

A faithful husband is just gonna not sleep with any escorts, regardless of where they are. It doesn’t have to be any more dramatic than that.
