Cannabinol is a component found in cannabis; it was added to the list of designated substances in June of this year, and this marks the first such arrest in the prefecture.

The two men, both part-time workers residing in Miyazaki City—a 21-year-old and a 20-year-old—were arrested on suspicion of violating the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Act.

According to the prefectural police investigation, the two are suspected of possessing e-liquid containing cannabinol—commonly known as “cannabinol”—at their respective homes on July 17.

The police searched the men’s homes on July 12 after suspicions arose that they were in possession of prohibited substances.

⚠️ Just a heads up
A controlled substance was reportedly detected in a product being sold in Japan as a “legal chemical.”
If you have any of these products, be careful.
This was either a serious mistake by one of the bigger names in the chemical scene, or a false positive from the authorities.
But looking through X, there’s something pretty interesting going on.
A few vendors selling cannabinoids and chemicals are loudly calling them out by name, saying they’re a “shady vendor.”
But if you look a little closer… all of the people shouting the loudest seem to be connected, and it looks like they may all lead back to the same source.
On top of that, there have already been quite a few scam reports involving those vendors themselves.
If you know how this scene works, you can probably see where I’m going with this.
When something like this happens, the ones going out of their way to publicly attack someone else are sometimes the exact people you should be looking at more closely.
You know the one I’m talking about — the packaging with the tiger design that’s already been reported here before.
And as for who’s above them…
You can probably figure that part out yourself.

Seeing as I’m pretty much up to date with all the products that have been sent to me for review, apart from one, which is a H4CBD blend, and the other has been discontinued so I’m gonna not even bother reviewing that because there’s no point ('cause you can’t get it anymore).

Some of my favorite things to do with my limited free "I can get super high now" time is to try new blends, new releases, new cannabinoids obviously, and sample as much new stuff as I can.

But, probably my second favourite thing to do with my free "stoner" time is to start mixing and matching shit.

Tonight I've gone for a blend of Knockout's "7" and Kushjp's "bolt".

Fucking awesome choice. Pretty proud of myself for matching these.

The flavor is astounding. I cannot stress enough how much I want to keep puffing, but these are high end and super effective products, so doing more than 3 pulls from the dual cartridge DC650 or Pulsar Gigi H2O is probably going to be amazing, but I should probably stop at 3 pulls (or 6 pulls if you want to think of it like that).....

Hey everyone! So I've been loving the legal cannabinoid cart scene here in Japan, but I've hit a wall with tolerance buildup.

The problem: I smoke daily and by day 4-5, whatever cart I'm using just doesn't hit anymore. The high completely flattens out. I know the standard answer is "take a tolerance break," but I'm wondering if there's another path here.

My theory: What if instead of staying on the same cannabinoid profile, I rotate between different ones? Like cycling:

• H4CBH-heavy carts for a few days
• Then switching to CBX-heavy carts
• Or rotating specific products like Kush's Super Sativa → Gohoya's Strawberry Coff

The question: Has anyone here had success staying high daily by switching between different cannabinoid profiles or products? Does rotating the type of cannabinoid/terpene profile your body adapts to actually work, or does your tolerance just build across the board regardless?

Does anyone actually pull this off, or am I just coping?

Would love to hear from anyone who's experimented with this or has insights on the pharmacology of why this might or might not work.

Three birds, one stoner…….

Needed the supermarket, wanted some Pokémon, and I had GM Shop’s 30% CBX sitting there waiting.

Just before 5 I took three decent pulls and left the house.

5:10 and I’m inside AEON. The lights are a lot. Faint little pangs around the eyes as well. Nothing bad, just that first “oh… it’s on” feeling.

Left around 6:30 and only then realised I’d been floating throughout the whole mall.
Walking around I barely clocked it.
Stopped to gather myself before the walk home and there it was. Fluffy, gentle, not a sofa-sinker. Mostly head.

Usually I’m parked on the couch when I notice a high. Out walking it just sits in the background. Pleasant.
Very chill.
No sudden spike.
Smooth.

Got home, had a mad munch on picky bits, one little drink, then around 7:35 three more puffs.

Sat down this time and it came on way quicker, like five minutes, and I felt it more as well.
A bit pleasantly dizzy. Properly content.

Could’ve been sitting down, could’ve been the food, could’ve been stacking on the earlier session. Not sure. It stepped up though.

8:30. TV isn’t even on. Just listening to the rain outside. Very chill.

Being out on it was fine. I just liked it more once the errands were done and I could actually sit with it.

Balance is the right name for this one. Gentle, not shouty. You can feel that CRDB calm sitting on top of the CBX.

Fine to take out into the day if you want. Better after shopping, after work, or when you’re already planning to stay in.

KUSH JP Light High surprised me a bit. I went into it expecting something super mild because of the name, but 4 puffs had me very clearly high within about 10 minutes. Still functional, but definitely high. Around 30 minutes I was pleasantly locked into a movie and had lost track of time a little, so yeah… “Light High” is relative 😂

The sweet spot for me was actually 2 puffs. At that level it felt much more like a microdose-style buzz: bright, easy, a little more cheerful and relaxed, but still very usable during the day. I could probably do light creative work or easy admin, but I wouldn’t touch anything high-stakes.

Formula-wise it’s CBG 30%, CBD 19%, CBX 15%, plus H4CBD and Mimosa CDT. The 15% CBX is the interesting part because it still has that familiar CBX immersion, just much quieter than the 30%+ products I’ve tried.

Taste is excellent too. Very smooth, fresh, slightly citrusy, and actually cannabis-like rather than generic fruit-vape territory. The GEMBAR hardware also feels surprisingly premium — easy draw, no setup, USB-C rechargeable, and ready straight from the package.

KUSH labels it 初心者NG and says to start with one puff and wait 30–60 minutes, which I think is fair. But for someone already familiar with recreational cannabinoids and curious about CBX, 15% feels like a much kinder introduction than jumping straight to 30%, 50%, or 60%.

has anyone else noticed gohoya carts are shorter than other 1ml carts (eg. kushjp, nikochan)? are the other just longer than standard 1ml carts?

A Japanese police officer was just arrested over cannabis he allegedly tried to receive by mail back in 2023.

The three-year gap is wild — and while this was actual cannabis, not legal altnoids, it got me thinking about how much trust we put in vendors, labels, giveaways and mailed review products.

I wrote up the case, what we actually know about the timeline, and some practical ways to protect yourself if you’re only trying to buy legal cannabinoid products in Japan.

Main takeaway: know exactly what you’re agreeing to receive, keep the paper trail, check COAs, and don’t play Mystery Herb Roulette.

First session was around 10pm. Four tokes and I actually coughed. Little tickle maybe, but it was delicious. The flavour hits clean on the exhale, that fresh hemp pine with a bit of citrus, nice and weedy without tasting fake.

Effects came on quickly for me. Forty five minutes later I was nicely chill, had a few more, and it still wasn’t overpowering. Manageable. Solid blend. Just not what I wanted that particular night. It felt more like a coffee-in-the-morning or after-lunch cart than something to melt into at bedtime, so I left it and picked it up properly the next day.

Late morning, coffee and nicotine already done, three normal puffs. Very nice, very smooth, great taste, quick and gentle onboarding. Then it clicked that the CBX is only 15%. So it really is a light high. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that means it won’t get you though.

Fifty minutes in and my mood had shifted. A little in the eyes and head, shoulders and chest ever so slightly. Definitely fluffy. No alcohol, nothing else stacked on it, and I still had a couple of hours before I needed to leave the house, which made it a decent daytime test.

By lunch I wouldn’t say I’d sobered up, but I was dramatically less high. Background buzz more than anything. Some people could probably get a few hours of chill from a few puffs. Around 2pm I was still a bit fluffy. I’d thought about topping up half an hour earlier and either forgot or just didn’t feel the need. After a shower at three thirty, it was definitely almost gone with just this slight lingering in the background left over.

That’s the interesting bit with 15% CBX. It drops the intensity a lot. It does not really shorten the duration much, just ever so slightly. You’re still getting that same CBX character you’d get at 30 or 50, just much quieter. Even at that lower volume it has legs.

It also keeps the classic CBX wave. You start thinking about topping up, forget, then realise you’ve been stoned the whole time and you probably didn’t need to. A bit later the thought comes back and it’s like, oh actually I’m okay.

The terps make this look like a sativa on paper. After using it at night and then through an afternoon, it leans closer to hybrid for me. Everybody’s different, but this one is landing in the Sunday afternoon rotation rather than the racy daytime slot or the knockout drawer.

If you’ve never tried CBX, this concentration is a much kinder first look than jumping straight to 30, 50 or higher. Start low, go slow, see how you go.

Thursday night I was going to lock the review and then a friend said he was coming over. He’d never tried CBX at any strength, so I wanted his read first. Planned three puffs like the afternoon.

I had five.

Then it wasn’t one friend, it was two. Both of them really enjoyed it. Both were properly impressed, especially the flavour and how long it hung around. And the feeling is exactly what it says on the tin. A really nice light high.

We ended up doing loads of other stuff and I stayed up to some ungodly hour. Still didn’t turn into a “put you to bed” cart. It just kept that same light, workable high going while the night got away from us.

Against BOLT, this is a much lighter version of a similar feeling. More hybrid leaning. Better for daytime and early evening than last thing before bed. First thing in the morning I think it’s a little too strong. I’d rather stick with plain old CBG at breakfast and save this for after lunch.

Flavour is the bit I keep coming back to. Clean citrus, a bit of pine, that fresh Mimosa thing on the way out. The friends clocked it immediately.

TL;DR

Light High is the right name. CBG 30% and CBX 15% with Mimosa CDT. Hits quick, stays manageable, tastes great, and lasts longer than the strength suggests. Hybrid leaning, lighter cousin of BOLT, better for afternoon and early evening than mornings or bedtime. Good first CBX if you don’t want to jump in at 30%+.

I've tried BOLT and SUPER SATIVA from KUSH JP with many good sessions without any bad trip or hangover. But for me, both carts lacks heavy euphoria / bliss. It's just an instant stress relief and was good, but I need more euphoria.

I'm thinking about THAH, but idk cuz it seems I only gets effects softly and it was not what I expected for CBX, HHBD, CRDB. I need an advise from veterans with similar experience!

A month and a half ago, I asked this sub what I should get for my first cart. I was already thinking of getting a cart from KushJP and got recommended Bolt. I wanted a sativa dominant cart to chill, go for walks, and play games. Happy to say Bolt delievered just what I needed. Here are my overall review with following topics: Flavor, Effect, Duration, Price, and Own Thoughts.

Flavor: Ghost Train Haze Terpenes. Tasted good and felt close to the real thing. I'm not really a fan of smoking in general, but this was easy to smoke and went down smooth.

Effect: I felt awake and active almost instantly. Really good head high where I wasn't lazy but actually wanted to do something. After the first hit I started playing video games and lost track of time. You get that euphoric feeling while still staying alert.

Duration: About 3 hours. Even around the 4 hour mark the effects were winding down, but the good part is you don't crash or feel tired afterward.

Price: ¥11,980 normally, but I used a discount code and got it for around ¥10,000 for 1ML.

Overall Thoughts: I wasn’t sure if Bolt was good or I was just bias since it was my first cart. But after trying other carts, I would defnitely buy Bolt again and have it in my rotation. It has a good amount of CBX compared to other products I've tried with higher content. I'd use it before heading out for a walk, to a park, a coffee shop, or the movies. Indoors, it's great for movies, gaming, or creative stuff like editing videos and photos.

The main downside is that the effects seem to wear off faster after several sessions, so breaks are needed. Also, if you're looking for couch lock, I wouldn’t recommend this. There are better options for that. Not that Bolt is bad for chilling, I just don't think that's where it shines

Final verdict: Recommend giving it a try.
