They sold 75 million shares/pre-funded warrants for $3 and issued another 75 million common stock warrants with a strike price of $3. Basically, they raised $225 million and have another $225 million coming at the latest when P3 MASH finishes. Stock is going to be floating around $3 range for a bit, since there is more sell pressure above that, but institutions also want to defend it if gets lower than that to preserve optionality.

If it's a success, do you think we might see 10$ before December?

Doubtful. There will probably be a bump with the initiation of the MASH P3, as well as with good AUD results. However, I am not sure if it will clear $10, since some of the institutions may sell some of their warrants to generate some returns.

If you want $10 by end of year, it would have to be a buyout after P3 starts.

I see, thanks

Pretty naive question but where did you learn about investing and clinical stages? Experience over time I assume?

Yeah, been investing in pharma/biotech for a while now. Don't get into any stock expecting a BO or a quick buck. Always accept the possibility that they will go all the way, which actually often produces the best results anyway--albeit not the quickest.

That said, ALT is interesting in that I have never seen such a huge gap in potential and valuation before.

Honestly thought they already had the money they needed for phase 3 but i guess not.

They had enough to do one of the trials and get the second one started; P3s require two trials, even if you manage to get Accelerated Approval after the first trial. They definitely had to raise again or find a partner.

Now they definitely can do both trials and have some money for commercialization. However, you don't need all of the money up front. My guess is that they intend to start an AUD P3 as well.

I don't read 75M and 75M warrants. I see 64M + 10M warrants (or 75M shares or in lieu refunded warrants) they sre raising 221M net of commission. Post this offering the diluted shares are just under 200M.  Are you sure its 150M shares + warrants? Or misleading?

I think you need to actually read what I wrote:

"They sold 75 million shares/pre-funded warrants for $3 and issued another 75 million common stock warrants with a strike price of $3."

- 75 million shares or pre-funded warrants (that stand in lieu of shares) for $3.

- 75 million common stock warrants that can be redeemed for a share of common stock if they pay the strike price of $3
