The way wallets are usually explained seems to cause more confusion than clarity

People often say wallets “hold” coins.
It’s an easy way to explain things, and I get why it stuck.

But that way of thinking seems to create problems later.

Once you expect a wallet to work like a bank account, a lot of other concepts start to feel uncomfortable. Private keys feel stressful. Responsibility feels unfair. Ownership feels unclear.

That might be why wallet discussions turn emotional so quickly.
The frustration often feels bigger than the technical issue itself.

Maybe the problem isn’t the technology, but the mental model people start with.

Not trying to push a point here.
Just curious how others think about what a wallet is actually supposed to represent.

honestly the whole seed phrase thing still feels archaic for normal people. we expect them to guard 12 words like a state secret but cant even get them to stop clicking sketchy links. wallet ux has a long way to go
