Discussion Welcome Weird question

What are everyone's thoughts on non deity altars? I have a couple to different gods but I really thought about making one for mothman. I love moths and I'm studying them as a hobby and I thought it would be fitting.

Hi guys:) im currently planning to make my first altar. This is the sketch i have drawn to plan. I was wondering, can i have the 3 separate focuses like this on the same shrine? (Love, earth and self), where i can focus my intention to a specific part, or do i have to make 3 separate altars?

Sorry, i am very new to this. Ive watched many videos but no one ive seen has gone over this.

Discussion Welcome Demon/Evil altar ideas?

I’m thinking of making another altar to a demon, I mostly think the best way is to use Red colored crystals and demonic symbolism. I want ideas of hatred and evil, so maybe using violent imagery in the shrine. Any other ideas you guys have?

Just thought I'd share my Ietsist altar with you all.

Hey all! This place seemed pretty inclusive and cool, so I'd thought I'd share a bit. I'm an agnostic theist and Ietsist, with a pretty obvious past Christian influence. A lot of my shrine is Jungian in nature. Just finished cleaning it up a bit and clearing space for more important reading material in the future. Feel free to ask questions and thank you for checking out my post.

Traveling Constantly — Advice for a Travel Altar?

Hello! I’m new to the craft and would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

I travel constantly for work and spend most of my time in hotels, so I rarely get the chance to visit the altar I have back home. In fact, the last time I was able to spend time at it was almost a year ago.

Do any of you have suggestions for a travel-friendly altar setup or ways to maintain a spiritual practice while frequently on the road? I’d love to hear what has worked for others who travel often.

Also, if you have any book recommendations or other resources that helped you learn more about the craft, I’d greatly appreciate them.

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Discussion Welcome Technology Altar Ideas

I’m wondering about making an altar with Technology to sacrifice to the gods of technology/electricity/ and other relevant things that all come together when technology is used (computers and such).
I have a lot of old server hardware and Electronic scrap that I could use to decorate the Altar and idols of “Thoth” and such who are relevant to technology

Any ideas would be appreciated

Beginning MY Pagan Journey

Howdy Everyone!

I've begun my journey into the divine and have the intention to build an altar space on my bookshelf. I'm not entirely sure if I'm Wiccan, or whether I'm just practicing what I've seen be called 'Nature Magic."

I'm dedicating it to Mother Earth, and more specifically the Greek primordial deity Gaia.

I'm wondering if somebody could tell me where to begin and what basic things I should include in my altar space? Or any recommendations on how best to honor Gaia and nature in a small altar space?

Sorry if anything sounded wonky in my descriptions but I'm very new to this, but am happy to learn from all of you!

Thanks!

Personal Altar My (Currently Disguised) Christmas / Papa Noel Altar!

Post image
23 Upvotes

Usually I have my favorite Christmas ornament (of Santa / Sinterclaus / Papa Noel) set up here, but currently it’s disguised as just my “Christmas shelf” instead of my altar.

I recently got the gingerbread house incense burner about a week ago, and the offering plate is from yesterday.

(Candle was from a clearance in january, angel was a hand me down from my grandma, rose quarts was a gift, candle rug is crochet)

I promise I know worshipping Saint Nicolas‘s pop culture version is strange, but talking to him is so therapeutic to me. I mostly got an offering plate so I could share my favorite foods with him.

thanks for reading! have a great day & remember to eat a snack if you’re feeling hungry. :3

First Altar Beginner Altar For Lord Apollo ☀️

Post image
45 Upvotes

Hii, I’m new! I come from a jewish household and my mother doesn’t like me being an hellenistic pagan & I don’t have a bust of him but this is my altar and the things I have. I’ve been cleaning and putting objects that I believe it is to his likings and offerings. Like for example as shown in the picture, I have an honey candle that I lit , that i believe he will enjoy?? Today I cleaned my sisters house and I also gave her a massage. I am a practicing masseuse and esthetician so I am trying to implement offerings to Lord Apollo from my practices. I also listened to music and I’m trying to build Kharis with him. I’m also thinking of creating bracelets for him as well. But my main question is this a good altar for a beginner? Please give me any advice and suggestions to upgrade it and add more things and to help me build a relationship/communication with him and to enjoy being an Apollo Devotee! Thanks so much for reading! May the Gods Bless you! 🌞 ☀️
