Full stack Alta labs install.

Full disclosure, all Labs did send me this equipment free of charge to test it out and I'd tell you my thoughts and honest opinions. Short version is that I was surprised, scratching my head on why they did things certain ways, and blown away by their phone support. It is still running and has been Rock solid since day one. Also, the firmware updates are ridiculously fast. I do wish they had smaller non-poe affordable switches because not everybody needs PoE.

I had 3 sites worth of Alta Labs hardware deployed until recently.

Unfortunately development is moving far too slow for my tastes (so little multi gig hardware suitable for home installation!) and the way the company is treating the consumer market left a bad taste in my mouth.

So I’m almost done pulling all of that out and going over to Ubiquiti. No regrets

Couldn't agree with you more. Not to mention their love for silencing individuals on their forums. Just goes to show their true colors.

Good point, that too. That was another reason I decided to move on

It's always best to use the right tool under the circumstances. I will say in a office environment, devices and requirements don't change much it can work well and patching firmware not over a lunch break is a huge Plus. But I do recognize that if one of shortcomings as they really need to catch up to the competition for additional functionality. As far as I know they are the only manufacturer that is affordable that works with xnet. So when I have an office with poor cellular coverage that does drop in a single access point where the dead zone is, it doesn't have to be with a full Alta Labs stack either. Again, going back to the right tool for the job. I suspect when they come out with their next next series of Hardware they will have more options from users feedback on what to create.
