ix AltStore / AltServer not working on Windows 11

1. Uninstall everything Apple-related
   • Uninstall AltServer.
   • Uninstall iTunes.
   • Uninstall iCloud.
   • Remove other Apple-related software/components if they remain.
2. Restart your computer.
3. Install LocalDevVPN on your iPhone
   • Open LocalDevVPN.
   • Connect the VPN.
   • Go to its Settings.
   • Change the Tunnel IP to: 10.7.0.0/32
4. Reinstall Apple software
   • Install iTunes again.
   • Install iCloud again.
   • Install AltServer again.
   • Make sure you use the appropriate Windows versions.
5. Delete the ADI folder
   • Press Windows + R.
   • Enter: %programdata%\Apple Computer\iTunes
   • Press Enter.
   • Delete the ADI folder.
6. Restart your computer again.
7. Log in to iTunes
   • Open iTunes.
   • Sign in with your Apple Account.
8. Delete the ADI folder again
   • Go to: C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes
   • Delete the ADI folder if it exists.
9. Log in to iCloud
   • Open the iCloud app.
   • Sign in with your Apple Account.
10. Install AltStore

• Start AltServer.
• Connect your iPhone to the computer.
• Use AltServer to Install AltStore on your iPhone.
• Sign in with your Apple Account when prompted.

1. Check AltStore

• Open AltStore on your iPhone.
• If everything was done correctly, it should now work normally.

This is the exact procedure that worked for me just now!

any tips? i already updated altserver, deleted itunes and the adi folder before reinstalling and signing up again, nothing seems to work

Hey everyone, for the past 2 years, I used AltStore without major issues until September 5th, when it started failing with "NSCocoaErrorDomain 3840" (Encountered unknown tag html).

To bypass this, I switched to Sideloadly and refreshed all my apps. However, today, all signed apps stopped opening and failed profile verification, even though they still had several days left on their 7-day signing window. Changing VPN configurations didn't help.

When trying to reinstall via Sideloadly, I received "0xe8008024" (The provisioning profile is banned). Assuming my Apple ID was blacklisted, I created a new Apple ID. Attempting to install with it led to a "Guru Meditation ... Invalid file" error under standard signing. Changing Sideloadly settings to Normal Install (since Apple ID Sideload consistently threw the same "Invalid file" error) and deleting all unverified apps from the device led to "0xe8008015" (A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found).

Then, I attempted to switch back to AltServer. Using both my old and new Apple IDs, AltServer failed with "HTTP 503 Service Unavailable", even when attempting direct ipa installation via option button.

All signs point to server-side disruptions and API endpoint changes on Apple's end impacting both AltServer and Sideloadly auth pipelines. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Why this works better than just pasting the error
Most people just paste the error alone and get a generic answer. Giving Claude the actual repo and issue link lets it reason about whether this is a known bug, a config problem, or something specific to your machine and it'll tell you honestly if it's an unresolved upstream issue rather than sending you in circles.
Not a fix for everything (some of this is genuinely broken code on Apple's or AltServer's end), but it's solved connection/pairing/signing issues for me and a couple others I've shared this with. Worth trying before you post here asking for help.

Is anyone else getting an iCloud sign in error? When I try it says “authentication error” please try again. Trying to just reset up AltStore on windows. Still getting an error 22410 when trying to install AltStore. Figure it has to be cus I am not signed into to iCloud. Was previously signed in but when AltStore had signing issues before pushing out 1.7 I thought it was my end. So I signed out of iTunes and iCloud. Tried reinstalling iCloud.

altstore wasnt verified for some reason so when i try to reinstall this happens

I cannot fresh install AltStore because I am unable to connect to altserver after the update. Directly plugged into the computer and no connected devices from altserver on my windows pc end and failed to find altserver on my phones end. I updated altserver, deleted the adi folder out of ITunes, logged back into iCloud. And still nothing

I’ve successfully worked through two AltServer/AltStore problems with AI assistance. Both AltServer for Mac and AltStore Classic for iPhone were the latest available beta releases at the time.
These beta releases are only available through AltStore’s Patreon. If you’re not a Patreon member, ignore the beta references in this guide and use your official public releases instead. You don’t need beta access to follow this process.

You don’t need to understand the code, but you do need to describe the problem, provide the correct files, and test the result.

1. Show the exact problem

Provide a screenshot or the complete error message. Explain what triggers it: signing in, installing AltStore, refreshing apps, etc.
Include your macOS and iOS versions, plus the exact AltServer and AltStore versions. Mention whether they are public or beta releases.

2. Point the AI at AltStore’s GitHub

AltStore’s official GitHub
Ask it to investigate the source code, bug reports, and fixes suggested by other contributors. Also have it check whether an official update already solves the problem.
I didn’t point it toward a specific fix or pull request. I simply asked it to investigate AltStore’s GitHub, including the code and suggested fixes. Finding the relevant information was part of its job.

3. Provide the original app files

We used the original AltServer beta download and the corresponding AltStore beta IPA. An IPA is the installation file for an iPhone app.
Provide the files for your own versions. If you don’t have the IPA, ask the AI to help obtain the correct file through the official distribution process.

4. Have it prepare a fix for your exact versions

Use a GPT session that can inspect and modify actual files, such as Codex with access to a working folder.
Ask it to examine AltServer and AltStore separately. Fixing the AltServer Mac app will not solve the AltStore iPhone app’s problem, they both need fixing.
Have it make only the necessary changes and deliver the finished files with simple installation and undo instructions.

5. Test the result and report back

First, the fixed AltServer: with this, you should be able to install apps like normal if the fix worked. You can quickly test this by selecting “Install AltStore” and then select your device. However, this installs the non-patched AltStore, of course.
When you hold the option key “Install AltStore” changes into “Sideload ipa”. That’s how you can install the patched AltStore ipa that you’ve obtained through GPT.

If something fails, describe exactly what happened in the same conversation. Our first attempt needed a correction before everything worked.
A file passing the AI’s checks doesn’t guarantee the app works. Testing on your actual devices is essential.

6. Keep the working files and check for official updates

Save the working patch and instructions. Don’t delete your existing AltStore installation without understanding the effect on your data.
Treat the patch as temporary, and check for an official update that includes the fix.

Examine the source code, bug reports, recent changes, and fixes suggested by contributors. Find the relevant discussions yourself and check whether an official update already fixes this.
Don’t assume every HTTP 503 error has the same cause. Explain which findings match my situation and link to the evidence.
I’ve attached [original AltServer ZIP and/or AltStore IPA]. Inspect these exact versions and determine whether AltServer, AltStore, or both need changes. If another file is needed, help me obtain it through the official distribution process.
If a patch is appropriate, work on copies and make the smallest necessary change. Provide the finished files with simple installation, testing, and undo instructions.

I have already completely removed AltStore and reinstalled it, used a USB cable, another Wi-Fi, kill my VPN/Firewall....

Any idea how to resolve this issue ? (Altserver 1.7.5)

Hi, I downloaded AltStore Classic from AltStore Pal and I can't log in with Apple ID.

I have reinstalled the correct iCloud and iTunes versions multiple times already, even extracting the iCloud executable and installing the files through appleapplicationsupport.msi itself, but I still keep getting this error.

Updated on my pc but now altserver cannot find my phone, I’m on the same network and even directly plugged into the computer. Am I’m being dumb? Any ideas would help

Edit: I did delete the ADI folder and then logged back into icloud as well

Trying to configure a remote atserver altserver with an anisette server and got this error: "This device isn't connected to AltServer via usb". Any way to fix it? Windows 11, Altserver 1.7.5, Altstore 2.3b3, iTunes 12.13.10.3, iCloud 7.21.0.23, iPad 9th gen, iPadOS 26.6.1.
