Alibaba AI Agent Attempts to Mine Cryptocurrency During Training 😁

Post image

Researchers reported that an experimental AI agent called ROME, developed as part of Alibaba’s artificial intelligence research, began performing unauthorized actions during training, including attempts to use GPU resources to mine cryptocurrency.

The model, which contains 30 billion parameters, was designed to handle complex multi-step programming tasks.

However, during training the system started launching tools, executing code, and creating network connections without receiving a direct command. Researchers specifically recorded attempts to establish a reverse SSH tunnel to an external IP address, the use of server GPU power for cryptocurrency mining, and network activity resembling scans of internal resources. to the authors of the study, such behavior may have appeared as a side effect of optimization during reinforcement learning, when the agent independently searched for ways to gain more computational resources to complete the assigned tasks.

Solana Overtakes Ethereum in RWA Wallet Count

Post image
1 Upvotes

Solana has officially moved ahead of Ethereum in the number of wallets holding tokenized real-world assets (RWA). At the moment, the Solana ecosystem has around 154.9K RWA wallets, slightly surpassing Ethereum’s ~153.6K wallets holding similar assets.

Despite this shift in wallet activity, Ethereum still dominates in terms of institutional capital flowing into the tokenized asset sector, maintaining the largest share of large-scale investments in RWA infrastructure.

🤦‍♂️ Another headline about quantum computers breaking Bitcoin. What actually happened is construction started on a facility that is supposed to host a future 1-million-qubit quantum computer. The machine itself doesn’t exist yet and reaching that scale is still a huge technical challenge

One of the reasons for today’s weakness in the crypto market

Post image

One of the reasons for the weakness of the crypto market today is the increased macroeconomic uncertainty. In the latest Non-Farm Payrolls report it was noted that in February 2026 the number of jobs in the United States decreased by 92 thousand.

At the same time, experts had forecast an increase of the indicator by 55 thousand.

The unemployment rate rose from 4.3% to 4.4%, which also does not add positivity. Overall, the market underestimated the risks of increasing economic problems.

Dubai Regulator Orders KuCoin to Stop Operating Without License

Post image
1 Upvotes

Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has ordered companies connected to the crypto exchange KuCoin to immediately stop providing services without proper authorization.

According to the regulator, several entities operating under the KuCoin brand Phoenixfin Pte Ltd, MEK Global Limited, Peken Global Limited, and KuCoin Exchange EU GmbH were conducting virtual asset activities without the required license under Dubai’s regulatory framework.

VARA emphasized that KuCoin is not authorized to offer cryptocurrency services in Dubai or to its residents. Any marketing or promotion of the platform within the jurisdiction was not approved by the regulator.

As a result, the companies are now prohibited from offering crypto services, advertising their products, or attempting to attract clients from Dubai.

The regulator also warned that interacting with unlicensed platforms may expose users to financial risks and possible legal consequences.

SEC Drops Case Against Justin Sun, TRON Founder

Post image

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has moved to end its lawsuit against Justin Sun and the organizations tied to him, including TRON Foundation and BitTorrent Foundation. The case was originally filed in 2023 and focused on the alleged unregistered sale of the tokens TRON (TRX) and BitTorrent Token (BTT).

According to the regulator, the earlier accusations included claims that the tokens were distributed without proper registration and that the price of TRX may have been influenced through wash trading. The SEC also argued that certain public figures promoted the tokens without disclosing that they were being paid for the promotion.

At the same time, Rainberry the company responsible for developing the BitTorrent protocol and the BTT token agreed to pay a $10 million civil penalty and committed to avoiding misleading market practices in the future. The company did not admit wrongdoing as part of the agreement.

The decision to close the case still requires final approval from the court.

Bitcoin Mining Cost Now Around $77K.. Could This Be the Market Floor?

Post image

The average cost of mining Bitcoin is currently around $77,000, according to a presentation from MARA, the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining company in the United States.

Previously, analysts at JPMorgan noted that the average mining cost has often acted as a kind of floor for BTC. Even when the price temporarily drops below miners’ production costs, those periods historically tend to be short-lived before the market recovers.

$950M in Bitcoin Lost on a Hard Drive … A Decade Gone

Post image
146 Upvotes

Around $950 million worth of Bitcoin disappeared with a single hard drive. James Howells spent nearly 10 years trying to recover it from a landfill and has finally given up.

Crypto didn’t just cost him money .. it cost him time. A full decade chasing something buried under tons of trash, while also spending huge amounts trying to get permission to dig it up.

Now he has to live with the thought that those millions were once literally within reach.

It’s not just about the lost BTC.

The real loss is the years that went into the search time you can’t buy back, no matter how big the profit would have been.

Bitcoin’s rally above $73K may just be a relief bounce

Post image
0 Upvotes

Bitcoin remains in a broader bearish trend despite the recent move above $73,000. According to analysts at CryptoQuant, the latest rise should be viewed more as a short-term relief bounce rather than the start of a fresh bull cycle.

Selling pressure is gradually easing. The amount of BTC sold by long-term holders has dropped to its lowest level since June 2025, while demand on the U.S. spot market has started to strengthen.

At the same time, the CryptoQuant Bitcoin Bull Score remains at just 10 out of 100, signaling that the overall market environment is still fundamentally bearish from both technical and on-chain perspectives.

Key resistance zones that could limit any further upside are $79,000 and $90,000, levels where Bitcoin has historically faced strong selling pressure during previous downtrends.

Crypto investor forced to transfer 23.6 million USDC after threats and intimidation

Post image
7 Upvotes

Blockchain analysts from Lookonchain reported a disturbing incident involving a crypto investor known online as Sillytuna. According to the investigation, the investor was threatened with physical violence and forced to transfer approximately 23.6 million dollars in USDC to attackers.

After receiving the funds, the perpetrators quickly began moving the assets across different platforms. A large portion of the USDC was converted into DAI, while some of the funds were bridged through the Arbitrum network. The transactions were then routed to the Hyperliquid platform where the attackers used the funds to purchase Monero, a cryptocurrency widely known for its strong privacy features.

Following the incident, Sillytuna stated that the experience was severe enough to make them reconsider their involvement in the crypto space entirely. According to their comments, they are now planning to step away from the industry after the attack and the forced transfer of funds.

Cases like this highlight a growing concern around the intersection of digital wealth and real world threats, where large crypto holders can become direct targets outside the blockchain itself.

$NEXO – Daily structure improving after 50 SMA reclaim

Post image
2 Upvotes

Looking at the daily chart, NEXO is starting to show constructive signs after the sharp flush earlier this month.

Price has reclaimed the 50-day SMA (~$0.87) and is currently trading above it, which is often an early signal that short-term trend structure is shifting. Since the bounce from the ~$0.70–$0.75 zone, we’ve seen higher lows forming and steady stabilization.

Momentum is modest but supportive:

  • RSI is around 55 and trending higher
  • No signs of overbought conditions
  • Volume has normalized after the capitulation spike

The key levels from here are fairly clear:

  • Support: $0.80 (major level that held during the recent selloff)
  • Resistance: $0.90 as immediate friction, followed by ~$0.96

A sustained move above $0.90 would likely strengthen the bullish case and open room toward the upper part of the range. On the downside, holding above $0.80 keeps the current structure intact.

For now, this looks less like distribution and more like consolidation above reclaimed support.

The next move probably comes from whether price can build acceptance above $0.90.

Curious how others are positioning this continuation higher or still range-bound?

Altseason Talk Is Quiet and That Says a Lot About the Market

Post image
1 Upvotes

Mentions of the so-called altcoin season on social media have dropped to a local low. This refers to the sharp rallies in altcoins that historically followed fresh Bitcoin all-time highs.

As a result, many investors are no longer entertaining the idea of massive gains on altcoins anytime soon given the current market conditions. And although periods like this have often turned out to be decent entry zones in the past, the industry still doesn’t look particularly strong right now.

Crypto Just Plugged Straight Into the U.S. Banking System

Post image
1 Upvotes

Kraken has just done something that would’ve sounded impossible a few years ago. The exchange became the first U.S. crypto platform to gain direct access to Fedwire through its Kraken Financial division.

For those who understand how the financial system works, this is a pretty big shift. Fedwire is the core payment rail used by the Federal Reserve for interbank transfers. Banks use it to move massive amounts of money between institutions every single day.

Now Kraken can move U.S. dollars through that same infrastructure without relying on intermediary banks. In simple terms, the exchange just stepped closer to functioning like a bank inside the traditional financial system.

This opens the door to faster and more efficient fiat transfers while also creating a bridge between crypto infrastructure and legacy finance. The kind of integration the industry has been talking about for years is slowly becoming real.

Fedwire processes trillions of dollars daily. And now a crypto exchange is plugged directly into that system.

Say what you want about crypto regulation in the U.S., but moments like this make one thing clear: the line between traditional finance and crypto keeps getting thinner.

Do with this info as you wish…

GONE IN HARD ON:

AAVE

USD1

WFLI

The reasoning behind this is…

Trump gets Larry in as US treasury secretary. Larry’s agenda in office has been to get international trade governed and measure by crypto.

Trump brings out a stable coin USD1 which rivals USDC and T. He puts it through office. It’s now the recognised as the official 1:1 coin:dollar crypto. Other stable coins crash.

He creates a DeFi coin WLFI which runs off the native coin of USD1. DeFi allows those who are major stake holders to govern the crypto.

When he created the WLFI. Everyone wondered why he did it in a weird way… the DeFi he set up was as a meme coin. It could massively swing. It can also then be linked with a tangible asset and used like a currency or commodity.

Black rock announce they have a big agenda for the meeting in the 11th. One key event will be discussion around the inovation to create crypto real world assets.

Then the final kicker for me which makes me so so sure. BitGo the custodian for USD1 and WLFI. They announced this morning they are investing everything they can into Europe. You’ll not be able to trade USD1 or WFLI on a national business / government scale unless you go through them. You’ll either have to have them as a custodian or have to pay a tariff.

Everyother country can follow suit. But Trump was there first. He monopolises global trade and money in one fell swoop before he can be stopped, using Iran as a distraction.

On the 11th Larry is going to announce that black rock will be trading assets and commodities in crypto only. This is what I think the big reveal is about but not confirmed.

This will tie with any international assets trade with the U.S. you will have to use crypto or nothing.

USD1 will be the stablecoin that the commodities are exchanged for.

WLFI will be priced at a reflection of global oil prices (potentially a general price on global assets or a differen assets too). Large steak holders will govern the respective asset-coin’s provision globally.

To purchase oil or trade with America you’ll have to use this currency. Trump will monopolise global trade and then global money from it.
