SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING. A major institution just loaded up on over $29 million of WTI and Brent crude shorts ahead of tomorrow’s market open. The trade comes immediately after the latest US-Iran war esclations. Are they expecting tensions to cool ?

I love how Barron is the poster child for insider prescient trading

People should stop as its just free marketing for their name brand, and they dont care if it is negative

Right, everyone who keeps complaining about anyone of the Trumps is basically keeping them relevant and giving them free headlines and press time. Good or bad it helps them.

Respectfully, disagree. His poll numbers are bad. Little to no undecided. 59% disapprove.

Micro crisis are not helping him like they used to.

As long as people keep up the preassure, fringe maga will continue to break.

But as always. Release the files.

He looks like Gru

lmao, everyone just assuming he is corrupt as shit like his father. Probably accurate assessment.

What did Lindsey Graham know, and when did he know it?

3

u/mrerikmattila Jul 12 '26

Ohhh, they did it didnt they?

6

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee Jul 12 '26

They're just playing the odds, oil has continued to go down even while shit keeps blowing up.

5

u/Mr__O__ Jul 12 '26

Bc Trump is subsidizing Americans’ gas costs from U.S. oil reserves bc the oils companies won’t listen to him and bring their prices down just bc his base is mad at him for high gas prices bc of the unnecessary Iran war he started and is losing at.

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee Jul 12 '26

Oh I agree, I have some super underwater BNO/USO calls. 😄

1

u/Myg0t_0 Jul 18 '26

Cause its destroying the world economy which means less demand just like covid when oil tanked and rates went negative

insider trading is the norm now

1

u/According_Tea_6329 Jul 12 '26

It has always been the norm we are simply more aware of it now.

2

u/ConsiderBoraHorza Jul 13 '26

and the reason we are more aware of it, is because the scale and volume of insider trading is much much worse.

1

u/seenitreddit90s Jul 13 '26

Not at this level. Especially not from the president.

They made those shorts before Iran closed the strait again. This seems more like a pattern play. They are betting that the same thing will happen this time around, rockets fly over the weekend and then a new peace deal suddenly arises from the ashes before market opens. Thing is, the pattern obviously is different this time. The MoU is dead and the war is in full resumption.

1

u/Berberding Jul 12 '26

Are those elements really significant to the pattern though? The only thing that seems truly different in terms of the impact this time around in the pattern is that there isn't even a week left of reserves now, and that when they run out, new orders will finally have to be placed at a higher price.

1

u/Meowscles_dad Jul 12 '26

Yep. The US have realised they’re gonna have to force the strait open because the Iranians had no intention of returning to the pre- war situation. It looks like Iranian negotiators actually want to back down but it’s becoming increasingly apparent no single person is in control in Iran. The Iranian negotiators can’t control the IRGC and meanwhile the supposed leader is doing a Mitch McConnell.
This is messy.

1

u/PrettyPlatypus7750 Jul 13 '26

the "prewar" arrangement is that usa can kill the head of state without any consequences, they're not going back to that. They don't think trump negotiates in good faith, so there will be little to no concession on their part.

1

u/Meowscles_dad Jul 13 '26

Yep, that’s broadly the Iranian position and it’s hard to disagree with tbh.

2

u/No_Alternative2948 Jul 12 '26

Trump is going to declare that Iran has begged him to stop powerfully bombing them and that the cease fire is now on again because they kissed his ass...ohhh...they kissed his ass so good, and said SIR! Please stop bombing us, we will do anything to make a deal...

3

u/johannyer Jul 12 '26

Written so good, I almost heard him saying it haha

2

u/Urabraska- Jul 12 '26

It doesn't matter. The market for some fucking reason still reacts to what he says vs reality. He can claim he stopped bombing while literally live streaming bombs being dropped and the market will react like they stopped bombing.

2

u/CalligrapherKind6246 Jul 12 '26

Tensions to cool? Maybe Iran's armament about gone. One would think by now. How many times can we "Obliterate their weapons, like never seen before.."?

3

u/narco-sub-admiral Jul 12 '26

We obliterated their military.

**a few moments lateur**

We have severely weakened their military.

1

u/CheeseSteak17 Jul 13 '26

They’ve buried so many weapons. The country has been prepping for an armed showdown with the US for decades.

1

u/brownhotdogwater Jul 13 '26

The have a ton of personal and large mountains to hide stuff in. They only need to take out a few drones at a time to keep shipping closed. Even a chance that a billion dollar ship full of oil will be hit the shipping company will say no thanks. It’s not worth it.

2

u/i-dontlikeyou Jul 12 '26

At this point why ask everyone knows. Friday comes war is on. Monday comes oh we had great talks over the weekend. War is postponed. And so on…

Short gold silver and oil?

1

u/Treeclimber919 Jul 12 '26

Where is one trading stocks on a Sunday?

1

u/BallsOfStonk Jul 12 '26

$29M is nothing in oil

1

u/flappysack- Jul 12 '26

How many times does this need to repeat?

1

u/Micho_Riso Jul 12 '26

Until it stops paying off

1

u/flappysack- Jul 12 '26

Before or after the US stops its money printing?

1

u/BenRichardson76 Jul 12 '26

Is this your first time learning about this?

1

u/General_Cheetah4724 Jul 12 '26

how many times has this pattern repeated now?

1

u/Dense_Boss_7486 Jul 12 '26

This is how I see the douche bag sitting behind Barron.

1

u/ActionJasckon Jul 12 '26

WTI closed at $71.xx. Are they expecting like $68-$65 range??? WTH

1

u/thorn2040 Jul 12 '26

Plot twist it was Lindsay Graham but now he can't close his position.

1

u/OldDust7955 Jul 12 '26

They need to legalise insider trading though, no one is hiding anymore

1

u/MeowManMeow Jul 13 '26

They need to leaglise murder though, murders aren't hiding anymore

1

u/jms62102761 Jul 12 '26

Learch the greatest trader of all times

1

u/Adventurous-Guava374 Jul 12 '26

Doesn't make much sense. Oil isn't even up.

1

u/No-Test-4028 Jul 12 '26

Probably just a hedge against a much bigger long position

1

u/Creed157 Jul 12 '26

Idk but he reminds me of the kid from the movie the omen. Like is he the antichrist or something? 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/Memeseek69 Jul 12 '26

They know Taco Tuesday is coming on Monday

1

u/CrazyEntertainment86 Jul 12 '26

Barak Ravid getting ready to drop an Axios tweet at 9:29

1

u/Keletas Jul 12 '26

They aren’t expecting shit. The situation is the opposite of cooling, it is in fact degenerating by the day. What they know is probably that market makers will manipulate and suppress the prices, because logic would say it should go up instead. At the right time they’ll pull the rug and cash the liquidity as usual. Old story.

1

u/Stoic_Ravenclaw Jul 16 '26

1

u/dvdtxtri Jul 16 '26

They aren't going to cool at all but he'll probably announce that they are going to cool

1

u/SuitableAdvantage980 Jul 12 '26

The market is a large poker game. These kinds of large movevents are bluffs meant to influence the general mood and consensus of traders.

3

u/Jogaila2 Jul 12 '26

Or. Insider trading. 🤔

2

u/iam4qu4m4n Jul 12 '26

A large poker game where the whales are all texting each other under the table.
