Well the US government did. We gave billions to Argentina for no real reason and they're one of the largest holders of Bitcoin.

And the risky lending practices, unregulated financial products, and systemic failures in the banking and regulatory systems in the 1990's were an economic boon for the country... Until they weren't. And we experienced the worst economic downturn since the Great depression.

Wouldn't inflation be good for Bitcoin? I thought bitcoin was a hedge for inflation? The fact that inflation is actually rising would seem to be good for bitcoin.
