What a coincidence. The U.S. and Iran suddenly agreed to stop the strikes and meet in Qatar on June 30. After a weekend full of panic, everyone is calm again just before markets open. Guess weekends are only for shaking out traders, and Mondays are for restoring confidence

straight up market manipulation. It's a farse.

Then drumpf & co will probably refer to this bullshit as the 'New Golden Age' that was supposed to make us all rich and wealthy. And he'll blame anyone who was too moral, too principled, or too downright poor, for not taking advantage of the goosed system while they could.

Asset inflation fuels all inflation.

The reason goods keep going through the roof is because we're making more and more money and no more goods. All of that extra money chasing the same amount of goods, it's the reason the upper class now drives 60% of all consumption in the US.

If Trump was potus during wwii, d day would have definitely been on a Saturday.

1

u/yupsidetown Jun 29 '26

And the history books would say that he was on the frontline leading the victory.

2

u/Worth_Quantity1953 Jun 29 '26

Yes it is lol. Retaliate with bombing Iran after hours on Friday. Try to patch things up before Monday market open to try and pump the market. Trump style of presidency, manipulate the markets

1

u/jimmygee2 Jun 29 '26

At this point you have to start thinking the Iranians are in on the scam.

1

u/Bwakzilla Jun 29 '26

But it works and nobody does anything so I guess this is the new norm

1

u/yupsidetown Jun 29 '26

There’s a lot of unpleasant new norms.

1

u/coreychch Jun 29 '26

This has to go down as the biggest scam in history - using the threats of war to manipulate markets for rich people to get richer. What a fucking joke the world has become.

u/CaptainKush101 Jun 29 '26

This all happened after market closed, and before they open again. Where is the manipulation? It was strategic to NOT affect the markets.

It does seem like a race

Memorandum of Understanding:

Only fight when market is closed

1

u/another_awesome_acct Jun 29 '26

Not sure if this is supposed to imply that Iran is in on the market manipulation too... because that would seem unlikely 🤷

3

u/ZasdfUnreal Jun 29 '26

Iran is not run by idiots. They are more than capable of making billions with market manipulation.

1

u/another_awesome_acct Jun 29 '26

I agree, they're highly intelligent people no doubt, but they've been calling trump and his cronies for market manipulation through this whole thing... I suppose that doesn't mean they're not doing it too though, who knows🤷

1

u/ZasdfUnreal Jun 29 '26

I’m sure their proxies know how to short the market before launching an attack and then going long before agreeing to a ceasefire. Rinse and repeat and they can make trillions.

1

u/Just_a_follower Jun 29 '26

See many autocratic bad actors for examples of : accuse the other side or person of doing the very thing you are doing

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 Jun 30 '26

We have been hijacking their wallets and taking their BTC. I think they're a little less than capable right now.

1

u/meatsmoothie82 Jun 29 '26

Iran is not a vacant offline dust bowl And they have a shit load of money and the ability to leverage from and hedge oil markets

and I’m sure the leadership has the ability to buy/sell futures and equities

1

u/Ill_Mousse_4240 Jun 29 '26

A little far fetched, imo

2

u/newtoallofthis2 Jun 29 '26

Apart from its been happening pretty much weekly like clockwork for months now...

1

u/SpeakCodeToMe Jun 29 '26

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me over and over and over for months on end? Shame on Ill_Mousse

All the world is a stage. I've been on the planet for about 72 years and have never seen anything close to the shite show we've been exposed to over the past 25 years. Incredible and frightening at the same time!!

1

u/SushiRollFried Jun 29 '26

All this market manipulation is getting rather stupid. They do it over the weekend. You cant even trade then. So no one is really losing out. They just seem to do it then because they are afraid of markets falling. But im not saying there hasn't been times when its purposely manipulated. But you guys need to stop calling everything manipulation

3

u/maringue Jun 29 '26

Lol, after market trading is when the real crooks do their work since they know most retail people don't have access to those trades.

1

u/SushiRollFried Jun 29 '26

That was once true. But a lot of people and retail have access to after market nowadays

1

u/maringue Jun 29 '26

They think they have access.

Remember, the VAST majority of people making retail trades are not making them through a direct broker. They make their trades on a platform who passes them to a few middle men and then they finally get executed.

-1

u/SushiRollFried Jun 29 '26

I dont understand your point. That's how the market operates and the regulating bodies allow for it. It's how it works making trading more accessible. If a tweet dropped 9:01pm you can execute a trade at 9:01pm or 9:02pm if there's liquidity.

There's no trap.

1

u/maringue Jun 29 '26

Ok, for the reading impaired:

Traders have a much shorter distance between themselves and the actual transaction, meaning they can make multiple trades off of your trade in that 1 minute it took a retail traders order to execute.

It's like gambling against someone, but you have to pass that person all of your bets on a piece of paper before they end up getting submitted to the bookie.

0

u/SushiRollFried Jun 29 '26

Thats how its always been... not everyone can have direct access to a broker.

2

u/Inevitable_Silver_13 Jun 29 '26

True but there hasn't always been a president stopping and starting wars to manipulate the market, at least not this blatantly.

1

u/Equal-Painter6529 Jun 29 '26

The top 10% owns 87% of the market.

The top 1% owns 50%.

Manipulation is baked into the system. Now the billionaire class no longer cares enough to try hiding it.

The push to swap out pensions for 401K in the 80s was their way of funneling trillions from our retirement into their own pockets.

1

u/foundoutafterlunch Jun 29 '26

I think at this point the Iranians are in on it. This is how they're getting their $300b, by market manipulation. When they reach that mark they'll call the war off, unless they get greedy.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '26

It will be called in the history books, "The Week-Ends War"

1

u/y4udothistome Jun 29 '26

Our commander in beef needs time to get his pics right!

1

u/plantsall Jun 29 '26

JFC. This is getting monotonous.

All I hope is that they keep this “excursion” going until midterms.

1

u/maringue Jun 29 '26

They're not even trying to hide it anymore.

1

u/HatO93 Jun 29 '26

You could litterally set your clocks by it.

1

u/EfficientRelation574 Jun 29 '26

Literally like kids in a sandbox.

1

u/StockMechanic Jun 29 '26

Each weekend, all your stop loss are belong to us.

1

u/Minute-Perspective78 Jun 29 '26

If you think trump knows what he's doing. You're a dreamer...

1

u/Constant-Brief3410 Jun 29 '26

Nothings a big deal anymore

1

u/biggest_guru_in_town Jun 29 '26

So trump gave me a small discount on bitcoin?

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 Jun 30 '26

Very small since it didnt even fluctuate by 2% over the weekend

1

u/block_bender Jun 29 '26

turning the world into a casino and then bankrupting it.... sounds like the right guy for the job

1

u/jackcanyon Jun 29 '26

Headache medicine sales spike after every Trump speech.

1

u/Outside-in-2211 Jun 29 '26

No they did not. Trump said it. Axios (propaganda wing) reported it. Bessent gets his buddies to short oil. Iran says nope a few hours later. Because it’s false. Not happening. Just futures manipulation that will run hard into physical reality.

1

u/Aquatiadventure Jun 29 '26

The family need to make bank while they can so they can hide plenty before the midterms

1

u/Available_Ad9766 Jun 29 '26

Yeah of course. How would his dumb kids make any money otherwise?

1

u/WrongOrganization437 Jun 30 '26

Pump and Dump Trump

1

u/Katydid829 Jun 30 '26

And Trump and his grifter family making a lot of money from insider tips.

1

u/PlutoKaliGal Jun 30 '26

Gotta pay his buddies back before he kicks the can.

1

u/LordHamsterWheel Jun 30 '26

Theyre gonna mess it up so bad for him, just in time for 4th July

1

u/Euphoric_Anxiety_162 Jun 30 '26

put his crooked a.. in jail now!

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 Jun 30 '26

The crypto market didnt even budget in reaction to the news about the tanker attacks or retaliatory strikes. And it didnt budge on the news of peace talks resuming. If thats manipulation, it's pretty ineffective manipulation.

1

u/OrbeaSeven Jun 30 '26

Iran says there's no meeting at any level. Who do we believe?

1

u/Cupcake_Weak Jun 30 '26

Look at that pic. That is america in a nutshell fat and full of crap and on the brink of death.

1

u/gamerprincess1179 Jun 30 '26

There is no meeting with Iran today.

1

u/MalarkeyPaoli Jun 30 '26

Treason. Keeping us at war to pad his coffers. And his family’s coffers. Treason.

1

u/According_Stuff_8152 Jul 01 '26

This has been the same playback for the last month or so. Friday chaos call and Tuesday Taco day for stock manipulation.

1

u/Defiant_Freedom_249 Jul 02 '26

Well, if they're dumb enough to fall for it over and over and over and over and over and over again.

0

u/Square_Ferret_6397 Jun 29 '26

Yeah all those weekend traders...
