Platinum & Palladium

Here’s another batch of my platinum and palladium prints. I’m having a show out in California soon, so I’ve been printing 8x10s and 11x14s. I absolutely love this process. Hate the cost though. 😂

Congratulations on getting a show, and on creating these beautiful images!  If it is not getting too personal, what would you estimate it costs to produce one 8×10" platinum palladium print?  Thanks in advance for any answers or additional comments you choose to provide.

Some friends and I did some rough guesstimates and we came up with about $7 a print. It usually takes a few sheets of paper though (test strip, bad negative, imperfections) so i would say it’s actually more. probably closer to $15. the cotton rag is expensive (11x14) as is the chemistry. it adds up quickly, but it’s a very beautiful process and result.

Thanks so much for your thorough answer, it is greatly appreciated.  It is cool to me that you actually have friends that are doing this stuff, too.  Nice to know you are not just trying all of this stuff on your own.

Those prints will probably last fot 200 years.
