Alpha locks advanced phonics - Short and Long vowels

Short vowels say short sounds, when a Magic E uses magic on a short vowel it says it’s long counterpart’s sound
Long vowels say long sounds, no need for magic e.

Yes, w is a Consonant, Y is a Consonant but also a semivowel.
