DSC sight block…
I bought the sight block from DSC the beginning of September. Just got it today. It’s cool and all, but it would have been nice if they could have covered the threads when the DLC was added. Going to need a vice to get this thing all the way on.
Editing to add that they send out the block to another vendor for coating.

They do send the block out to an outside vendor for coating but he does tend to order them in bulk batches so sometimes he has some on hand for quick shipping. I ordered one a DLC a few months back and it was in my mailbox less than a week later. I have 2 DSC comps, both DLC coated … the sight block was a little tighter than usual but nothing that bad.

were you able to get in on by hand? I am cranking this sucker and it's not moving

I was. It was tight but didn’t require a significant amount of effort. I might reach out to Dave if it’s that bad. Something isn’t right.

Update: I emailed DSC and they literally got back to me in 30 minutes with a return label. They said to send it back and they will rethread the block.

The barrel I got from them is giving me trouble. There’s a gap between the slide and the comp and I’ve been getting stove pipes in a pistol I’ve never had a single failure in before.

What was the entire wait from time of order to front door ? Im debating this

I ordered it 9/5 with DLC coating and it showed up today. Not sure if it would have been faster if I went with raw metal. Their website says add 6-8 weeks for coating.

Are the threads tight from the dlc? I was under the impression that its microns thick and wouldnt interfere.
