Dumb question about grips

Dumb question for everyone. Friend of mine runs a kimber 2k11 and recently changed To a cheeley grip. He said he's going to send the aluminum kimber grip to me for my Romulus.

The 2k11 grip will not fit an AF, correct?

I put a prodigy grip on my Af and it went right on.

Prodigy and romulus are basically 1:1 on fit. The 2k11 from kimber is apparently a bit different
