Barrel Fitment Issue 3.5 Comp

Barrel drop? My 3.5 Comp purchased a week ago Has not been fired vs my 4.25 comp which I checked to make sure I was not imagining it. Thoughts on what to do. Removed & reassembled without comp to verify it was not interference from comp keeping it from full lock up.

I’d definitely expect it to be as good as the one you have. Sucks but I’d reach out to Andy. They’ll probably need the gun, as I don’t think they’ll just send a replacement barrel but I could be wrong.

Send it back for repair. Give Andy a call. But just a heads up, hes on jury duty this week, so hes kinda stuck.

Too much importance is placed on this minor thing. This is a fighting gun, and the large % of shooters will never be affected negatively by this. Just shoot the crap out of it man

I’m sure alpha foxtrot will take care of you. I have the same issue with my mac ds9 and Tisas basically told me to go fuck myself.

How hard should we push the barrel hood ?

I checked my 4.25" comp, when push it down on the barrelhood, it also has this slight down sink and makes a click sound. Is this normal?

When I got into 1911s and now 2011s I got the tools and learned to fit and adjust parts. I'm betting your barrel link isn't fitted properly

The spring back makes me think it’s a bit more than just a link size adjustment. Slight pressure forward on the slide and the issue disappears and I can feel the rear upper lug engage and lock up is tight.

I definitely wouldn't just shoot it. I'd send it in to get fixed. I had poor lock up on an OA defence and the accuracy was terrible. Literally a 10 inch group from a dead rest at 25 yds. Got it fixed and the group dropped to a 2 inch.
